Ok,
So I've been playing for awhile with the intention fo being a commando. I've got expert in rifle, pistol, and carbine. I hear lots of people saying they can solo red mobs no problem. How? What am I missing? I'm using a stock DLT20a rifle that I got off of a mob, and an experimented scout blaster. I haven't gotten a nicer carbine yet, but will soon. Is a bigger gun the key here? How are people racking up huge amounts of weapon xp? Everytime I try to solo a red mob I get squished like the small bug I am.

Try a Tusken rifle with /headshot works well for me. Got one pretty cheap around 500 credits.

Try this tactics, get within 64M, using rifle, do mindshoot1, peace out, get out of 64M, DOT click twice, get in 64M mindhsoot1 again, peace out, get out 64M, DOT click once. Get in 64M and finish the mob off.

get some good armor buffs and get into a solo group on dant then kill savage quenkers

It is the WORST grind to get to TK novice, but it is doable. I reccomend brandy and a full set of buffs, then head off to dantoine. Hurrtons and quenker's aremelee only (non of that running away BS that so pisses me off). With buffs, and maybe a suit of ubese, you can tank them all with ease: just spinkick to your hearts conentent and watch the xp roll in (well, a BIT faster anyway).
Those mobs are 1k-4k each, btw. So even if it takes 10 minutes to kill one, it's a big chunk!
Also, the grind becomes INFINITLY easier once you get TK novice. I went from untrained to TK novice in about a week and a half, then it took me about a week to get to 50k combat xp short of TKM.

hi, i am a Teras Kasi Student, and i have 37000 of the 125000 that is needed (well.... i think that is right
)
)and it has took me a few weeks 2 get that far, being on it for a few hours a day..
Is there a quiker way 2 get xp, coz i dont like just wandering round killing all the animals i see...
Its too boring !
I have also been hunting with a pal, who is a TKM, and he has helped me get a bit closer, but i am still along way off.. any advice??

Savage quenkers have ranged attacks so there not as good as they used to be. you have a few different options for leveling. I did TKM in a few days. Key is buffs and brandy. Get yourself some brandy and buffs, double up on taking the brandy, go to Dantoine and do quenker missions, preferably when your in a solo group. Dantoine is very bugged so you won't make a lot of money on missions. You could also pay the extra and go to Endor, there are more then a few critters their that are vulnerable to kenetic damage and that's where I did my leveling. though it tends to be more desolate its missions aren't bugged.

It isn't clear from your post if you know this already or not, but I thought I'd throw this out there in case you didn't...
First of all, buffs and armor are pretty much required for this (BTW - armor does not HAVE to be 90% kinetic composite - 50% kinetic still works great)
Find a lair of critters that you can kill without too much trouble (critters that take you maybe 30-90 seconds to kill each). Stand in the middle of the lair, and just keep using a spin attack on the lair until the lair is dead. The critters will keep healing the lair, but they'll keep spawning and dying from your spin attack, so that's ok. Take note of how much xp you have before and after, and you'll find that you can get anywhere between 10K-60K xp per lair, and it generally only takes 5-10 minutes. If you take note of which lairs give you great xp and die easily, you can adjust your strategy towards those lairs and get the xp pretty quickly. I had fairly good luck with the flit lairs on Lok before novice TK, and I played around on Yavin after novice TK, and was able to advance pretty quickly.
Also, don't forget to stay grouped with a friend, pet, or droid while grinding - you get a significant xp boost.

If you don't have the cash for at least buffs, brandy and travel to Dant to get the ball rolling just take zocca boar missions on Tat or Junland Eipoe missions. Also, equip a set of VKs. You'll do a little less damage, but, the speed will make up for it and it'll actually increase your DPS. Just make sure you at least have a crate of good quality stim bs and novice medic.
This is how I did novice TKA and it didn't really take all that long. You just need focus and you need to know what is worthwhile to kill and what isn't. Anything that gives lower than 300 UAXP isn't worth it. So get your boars and your eiopes, stay away from your kreetles and rills. It also helps to buy a crate of droid batteries and a cheapo MSE droid to group with. You get an XP increase if you are grouped with anything. This is what really helped me.

Im a novice armosmith and i'll like to know whats the best way to get easy and fast crafting ?
