Shh, not so loud..... The ability to change the colour of comp is only due to a bug itself.... All armor was supposed to be fixed colour.

Just got a couple questions I was hoping you could answer for me. I've been playing around with the Ith armor on live and a few oddities came up.
1) Ithorian Guardian is currently showing a Special Protection to Blast - Is this intended or a bug?
I'll look into this and get an answer from the Devs.
2) Said Blast Resist cannot be experimented up by spending the Exp. Points on Quality - Again, as intended or bugged?
I'll look into this as well. Question: can it be experimented up at all by spending points in any of the other two categories?
3) Ithorian Armor cannot currently be sliced - Due to JTL not on live or a bug?
Is this all Ithorian armor? Can anyone else provide confirmation of this issue?
4) IthorianDefender color cannot be changed post craft - Intended or should this be like Composite with players able to adjust the color?
I'm almost certain this is intended. The ability to change composite color post-craft was supposed to be removed months ago butisfairly low on the Dev's priority list (especially with the upcoming changes to armor).
Any answers you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks!

I made all three sets in the JTL beta, and I was able to slice it all then. Funny thing was that even the Kinetic in the special protection of Guardian would go up with the slice.

The issue is on Live. I made suits last night and they were unslicable. The smuggler recieved a system message stating that the item was not valid or something along those lines. I'll test again here in a few when I get ingame as well as the Blast Issue on the Guardian.
The Kinetic went up on the Guardian you say? Thats definately weird.

Just got a couple questions I was hoping you could answer for me. I've been playing around with the Ith armor on live and a few oddities came up.
1) Ithorian Guardian is currently showing a Special Protection to Blast - Is this intended or a bug?
2) Said Blast Resist cannot be experimented up by spending the Exp. Points on Quality. Is nowshowing up on DefenderArmor as of 10/26 and cannot be experimented up.- Again, as intended or bugged?
3) Ithorian Armor cannot currently be sliced - Due to JTL not on live or a bug?
4) IthorianDefender color cannot be changed post craft - Intended or should this be like Composite with players able to adjust the color?
5) When sliced in Beta, Kinetic Special Protection on Guardian was increased - Bug?
6) Ithorian armor that is being pulled from crates has different resists thanoriginallycrafted - Bug? (See here. I'll be testing this when I get ingame as well.)
7) Before today (10/26) Ithorian Defender was crafted with Special Protections to Layers used, and Elec; Effectiveness to all except LS and Stun (Providing it is not Stun layered). As of 10/26 it is being crafted with Special Protections to Layers used, Elec, and Blast; Effectiveness to only Cold, Energy; And with Vulns to LS, Stun, Heat, and Acid (Again providing the armor is not Stun layered). - Bug, part of CB or what?
Any answers you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks!

thought i would pass this along... comments/suggestions please.
I made some defender armor (equal to comp) and I experimented like I would with composite. I got 80 kin, 80 elec and 67 base. This was all made last week. I then tonight decide to do a few runs (since I have been waiting for my factories for 5 days) and I got total different protections. using the same resources I now have
special protection
80kin
77elec
25blast
68 base to energy and cold
vuln to: stun, heat, acid and saber
looks like they made some modifications to armor with pub 11 also? anyone else noticing anything like this?

I haven't made any more of the Defender yet today, I'll test that in a bit.
Did work on the Guardian some more though, and experimented on all the lines. Here are the results:
Based on what I found yesterday and with today's testing, there doesn't appear to be a way to increase the Blast Special Protection.
And, I'm still waiting on my guild smuggler to get on so we can test slicing the Ithorian on Live.

i noticed something similar to that 80% kin/ 79% elec and 68% base. out of the same create i got stuff almost the same as yours and also what the schamatic was made for. I got screeeines of each and they both have the same serial number too.
This needs to be fixed.

here is the before and after. Not sure if this is a bug or how the armor was supposed to be made orignally. If this is the case, the suits people made previous to the last update could get some $$.

I'm getting the same thing too with the Ithorian armor with the new vulnerabilities. I hope this is a bug because it effectively takes Ithorians out of PVP.

I too made some Ithorian Defender Armor on Monday, i ran off about 11 whole suits and some odd items too. luckly i created them all by hand ( fs xp grinding )
The stats came out exactly like my current Comp run.
80% Kinetic
77% Electric
68% Base
Vun - Stun & LS
Today I made a Helmet and the Stats Had indeed changed to
80% Kinetic
77% Electric
25% Blast
68% Base
Vun - Stun Heat Acid LS.
I tried to up the blast by experimenting on various lines in the process but nothing made the 25% move.
So my theory on this is as follows:
They patched in the JTL 11 at the beggining of the week.
Armorsmiths started making the armor straight away. Some by hand, others by factory runs.
In the last day or so the Devs 'fixed' the armor for some reason or other.
All new armor from this point now adherse to the new stat changes.
All the Hand crafted armor stays as it was due to the fact that it has already been created on the server.
All Crated Armor is effectivly a crate object on the game engine until it is pulled from that crate at which point it becomes a newly created armor object on the server . that has the new stat fix applied to it.
this probably explains why armor that was crafted pre 'Nerf' through a factory run comes out totaly different to the schematic that whent in.
And as someone pointed out, Anyone who happens to have Hand crafted this armour before the patch fix...has some serious credit making potential items on their hands.
Just my two's worth
