i know this question has been asked for over mil times. i am looking to hunt some armor exp skill tapes for my armorsmith. i went hunt NS elderly with friends, only gota fewcrystals and NS lances. would anyone kind enough to tell me what npc mobs drop it the most? thz alot.

you may have to killelders for the next 6 mnths 6 hours a day every day to even have a chance at a armor exp tape adn even then the chance of getting one is 0.5% at most

I managed to find a +4 armor exp tape off a rebel surface marshal.

Also a +2 armor exp from an ensign on the corvette.

its better that a wide variety of NPCs drop this stuff other wise only like 5 people per server would get any of these tapes and would charge like no tomorrow for it lol.

I knew a friend that got a +4 experiment tape from a spice fiend outside of Bestine.

Good luck looting what tape you want. The trade forum is there specifically for the reason. Something you loot might not be what you want but someone else wants it, and I bet someone else might even have something you want, like experiment tapes.

ive gotten a +2 rifle speed from a meatlump. It is random, and skill tapes for me seem to be a rare drop, Ill kill thousands of npc's over a weeks time, and not get a single tape, even a +1 or anything, But then ill get 6 in a week or something, very low drop rate. Sell those premium crystals for 2 mil a pop and buy the tapes you want

I got a +8 armor experimentation tuskengloves from tusken executioner or observer i forget. Also got a +7 terrain negotiation tape from one of them once. Nice for jedi's, sold for 4 mil i think

Personally I've never had a skill tape drop off a nightsister, and I've killed a lot of em.

But for other mobs, a rough guess I would say a tape drops every 100-200 npc kills. And even if you get a tape you still have to negotiate the minefield of broken skills, and skills that havn't even existed since beta,and completly worthless skills. (heavy weapon mods are all broken, the melee damage mod ones are broken, the ones that say like polearm counterattack vs just counterattack are old beta skills. There's a crap load of broken/old skills that don't work)

Like the last skill tape I got, off one of those sith dudes doing the villiage missions (I've done all the missions to get the banner, and all the missions to unlock the melee speed tree, and gotten 1 skill tape off of the sith kills). A nice +7 clothing attachment.... too bad it was +7 instrument assembly. Not even worth the saliva I spit on that sith bastards body.

From my experience the best source of skill tapes is factioned mobs. Find an imperial base(if you're reb) and kill the ST's, it's still a horrid 100-200 npc kill rate, but they seem to drop more consistantly then other mobs (though that all could be in my head, or just random luck).

saves a lot of time

yeah seems tuskens are the best go to for moderate numbered tapes... i.e. warlords and captains and such spawn very often are easy to kill and can drop +5-+10s in anything on average often enough ot keep you going back until you get what you want.... with less worries and less moving then NS

I once ran into a group of about 20 NS (rangers, I believe). Managed to loot about 15 of em (bug made a few corpses dissapear while I was chasing the rest down) and got a AA that would stick +13 def vs kd.

Generally I saty away from elders and look for large groups of anything else (protectors and lower).
