Thread: Wookies get three suits, what do trandos get?

My friend is a trandosian and complains regularly about how his feet and hands cannot be armored. I know wookies didn't get any armor at all at first but now they have three suits just for them and from what I can tell they can armor themselves completely. Has there been any talk about armoring trandos feet and hands or makingthose partsinvulnerable? We can put a composite helmet on a mon cal so I hope we too could accomodate our trando friends as well.

Get a grip. Our Feet have an armorhole also our armor costs are about 5 to 9 times higher than yours. We've had no armor for over a year. I hope you get boots and all but, don't be ridiculous.
Sure I say anyone that gripes about wookie armor. Can play armorless for over a year then they can wear it/ buy it also.

Who's raping you on that? I'm selling suits of 80% kin, 66% base for 180K on SF. When I sell unsliced comp it's 80% kin, 70% base for 350K.
I ran the numbers on my wook armor. Even with 30cpu Dath leather and Dant avian and 80cpu Tat wooly, I'm still making bank on it. I think someone's taking advantage of you.
As for trandos, quit whining.

Ok bit of an exageration but 350k a full suit is the norm on bloodfin.
Im happy to pay it.

I dont know if your friend is complaining about "The Look" for trandoshan's armor, but i myself have played a trandoshan for months and the ONLY armor i wear now is helm, chest, pants, and biceps. I do NOT wear bracers anymore. and i NEVER suffer from an armor hole. i have been fighting nightsister elder's, giant dune kimo's and took lord nyax and an acklay last week. throughout all fights, the armor hole never affected me without gloves, boots and bracers. My human character i wear helm, chest, gloves and boots (and plain clothes underneath, other types of armor screws this up) and i STILL get full protection even with those peices on, of course the gloves and boots wear down VERY VERY quick but i have a ton of extras from all the full suits i bought for my trandoshan hehe
Trando's dontneed gloves or boots, if you are being affected by an armor hole send in a bug ticket

I've never suffered from an armorhole either (after the armorhole was fixed), making us wear boots and gloves would only cause more encumberance.

I would like to see all races get helms shaped for their race, with the current Comp one going to the Rodians.
after all, just changing the helm would make a difference to the look, and the fact that a Trandoshan can't wear a Comp helm when a Twilek can (With Lekku sticking out of the side!!!) is ridiculous...
p.s I am a Human, so it's not just another whiney lizard!!

Err. My Trandoshan wears both comp and ubese helmets. What are you smoking?

As a Trando, gloves an boots are worthless anyway, more encumberance. I have no problems what so ever, PvP, PvE, just a couple less slots for sea's is all.

Lets see, what sets do Trandos get...Bone, Mabari, Chitin, Tantel, Ubese, Padded, and Composite (not sure about RIS). They suffer no holes anymore as any shots directed at the hands and feet get filtered to an armored location. Not sure what you are complaining about other than that.

If its true that it gets filtered to an armored section then thats great! I was under the impression if i got hit there i got hit for full damage. But they dont warn you about the fact that you cant wear gloves or boots when you first start the game, it isnt in the manual or the create a char screen, but wookies did get warned they couldnt wear armor.

The online manual still states that Wookiees get Regeneration...which we dont. Back in beta, the Wookiee community was told that they couldnt wear armor, but would benefit from increased stats, which would compensate for the lack of armor. It doesnt. I could go on and on about how the 700 points have been useless up to this point (the secondary caps on the regeneration pools are hideously low, and at least 250 of that 700 pt bonus are stuck in strength).

as it stands there are 2 useful armors that anyone wears, so until the dev's revamp armor there's no need to complain about armor specifics.
