I did a full search on both the Architect board and the Merchant board, but couldn't find an answer or attempt at an explanation for this...Why is it that the word "Architect" is a filtered name for vendors? I've never understood. Does anyone have a clue? Is this something similar to the supposed rationale for structure factories taking 2 lots, i.e. maybe it's supposed to slow architects, and thereby the economy, down somehow? Hehe. /sigh
I'm sure this has been discussed before, I just couldn't find anything in any search result.

I hadn't noticed, guess I've never tried to use 'architect' in my vendor names. Doesn't make ahuge amount of sense.

Yeah, I can't make a vendor named "antarchitecture" or anything like it. I could make one named "antarqitkture" or something like that, but then it hurts my eyes...my poor poor eyes.

Hmm maybe theirs some sort of naughty word buried in architect that we don't know about? Maybe in a language other than English?

Is that the expletive that they use on BBC sitcomes like Father Ted sometimes? I always assumed it was spelled with 'sh' rather than 'ch'.
I also found a couple sites that say 'chite' its a racial slur. Apparently it means white people who act asian.
I wonder if SOE had meetings to discuss this stuff. That would be a fun meeting. You'd get to do tons of cursing at work.
Bob: Oh, we should put **edit**e on the filter list
Nancy: Whats that?
Bob: Its a slang curse word the British use. Like you **edit**ing **edit**e head.

Got me, I did a search on it, too and couldn't come up with much. I'll try to put down a vendor with that and other variations of architect and see what is the offending part...Hehe. I know the German/British curse is spelled with an sh-, not ch-.

My guess is it's a reserved word filter not bad language, same as you can't use some city/planet names in various name boxes (I think crafted items don't allow game city names to be used, or maybe planets).

Planet names work fine for items. I've made "Dantooine Daisies" and "Tatooine Umbrella Trees" before.

Turns out Pawlin was right.
That's what's blocking the vendor name, but you can write it here on the forums. Chite. See?
