Ok, been Master Architect for a couple weeks now, enjoying the interior design aspect of the game, and overall am happy with the variety of items you can make, allbeit some are absolutely atrocious looking and could be better with color adjustments, but thats a whole nother ball of wax.

What I dont understand is the limited selection of plants. There are three default plant types you can make, a tree, a large plant that looks like it needs some sun, and a small pot of flowers. I rely on these three items the most when I decorate a house, as it just adds to the feng shui X10. But why is it limited to those three? The names of these items suggest that others are or will be available, and thats great, sooner the better, but what about the plants that ARE in the game allready? Why is it these styles are unavailable to me?

If you dont know what Im refering to, head over to Theed and go inside the Star port. You see all the types of "special" furniture that takes specific materials to make, and you also see three seperate versions of the above mentioned plant styles. A large tree (really large), a large plant (looks a little like a banzai tree), and another pot of flowers with a different shade of pink/purple. Why are these unavailable to craft if they are in game? Am I missing something?

Last night when I was going through my schematics and trying to devise a pricing structure I noticed that the the plantsare all Style One, which led me to believe that maybe there was other styles out there...but couldn't find or remember seeing anything different then the basic 3 plants. Maybe sometime in the future or some styles never actually made it to the game. "Oh 3 plants is enough nobody will buy that many anyway..."

welcome to being an architect... we won't see any nice new furnishings till after publish 20 lol

granted they did give us lamps and candles to shut us up for a bit, but uh, that wasn't quite enough for sure...

It'll be awhile since i'm sure they view furnishings as a low priority item.

Thats exactly what I dont understand though. Its not like the items need to be modeled, they're allready IN game! Why is it Archtects are limited to what seems to be a started set of furnishings?

There are at least 4 other types of plants in the game. I've seen them in various places, and it would seem to me that given the names of the ones we can make, that these too should be available.

I also am noticing other types of furniture that are not available. In one of the starports, think it was on Talus, there is a different style of the small couch (black and grey), but this one has a different color and trim design. Why isnt that an option?

I know Im preaching to the choir here, I guess I was just hoping there was some kind of magical way to unlock a little more variety in what we can do.

Also, dont really see how this ties into the latest nerfs on macros and vendors, but just for discussion sake;

I dont sell furniture on a vendor. There are too many items to keep in stock of more than one, and there is of course no accounting for taste. I have a system worked out where people order what they want from a showroom of sorts. The vendor I have up includes one of everything I have available to make. I have instruction written in a customer notice, found in the description of a basic camp kit I renamed to reflect this.

The process works like this: You browse the vendor to see what is available, and then you place an order for the items you want to buy. I sell all furniture for one standard price, save for items that are more costly to create like fountains or statues (but these are not currently in the show room). There is a minimum purchase of 10K, each item is 1K. I have the customer email my alt chr. and place thier order, they in turn recieve a reply with a conformation of the order and a price quote. They are then requested to tip the money over in adavnce to set the order in motion.

Once I receive the credits I create the order and place it back on the vendor for delivery. This is where it gets a little confusing, but it does work well. I place the items in backpack with the customer's name on it, for 10K. They pick it up and pay the 10K, BUT, I tip it right back to them ASAP. This is just a necessary evil to detract griefers from buying items for say 1 credit or something. I also mention to my customers that I dont replace "stolen" items, but I DO give the name of the person that made the purchase to them, and to the CSR. I've had some business so far (only been up for little over a week), and the system seems to work well. I dont have to craft needless items in bulk that may not sell, and I always make sure to get my money before I make something.

This allthough, will not be possible with a limit of even 110 on my vendor, so if that goes live I will undoubtedly drop all my merchant skills and go full combat as it will be all thats left. Lets hope they decide to pull out on that retched idea instead of black listing all the players here for the commerace side of things...
