Im trying to get Ore mining units in factory crates by creating them in a structure factory. But when it finishes manufacturing, they aren't in factory crates? Anyone know why?

Yes, we know why. The reason is that the Development team hasn't heard a word we've said about this for the past 10-12 months and therefore hasn't put in the 5 minutes necessary to fix it.

They dont come in crates never have. Its one of the mysteries of the crafting process!
I guess they have too much Database space to want to save it by putting in crates
Sorry i couldnt resist!

It's a known issue, it is on the list of things to do, but with so many other things on the list of things to do it's not high on the prioritories.

Actually, they are in crates.
They're made from a new type of polymer developed specifically for holding OMU's.
It's completely transparent butscratch resistant andvery durable.
Unfortunately each crate has a capacity of only one unit.

LOL Elyssa.
Yeah, it IS annoying that they don't 'pack' more than one per crate.
I just did a somewhat large run of them and don't have enough space in my pack or house to keep them, so they're sitting in my factory's output hopper. The serial numbers are all the same though, so you shouldn't have problems using them 'from a factory crate' when called for by the schematic.
