Ok, theres been huge... SNAFU'S... for lack of a better word, started recently, most notably the vendor capacity changes. With the reduced number of items that we could possibly ever sell, is it safe to assume that they will not, at any point, be *increasing* the number of varaitions of furniture?
Varaitions such as color, size, and shape? If we have 80+ possible items now, adding 3 options for each, just in color, would mean a total of 240+ items. Which means 1 of each item would be spread over 3 vendors.
Is there any indication that anyone is still considering this?

Be serious. It won't matter if they give us furniture colorization or not, now. We won't have any place to stock them. I mean, half the playerbase would have to master merchant to handle the cumulative overstock, as it is.

Nice sig :-)
I am probably with many of the people around SWG (crafters) that is if this comes out no more crafting for me or my alt, this is a rediculus patch, it has ruined the game for crafters, because we take pride in having high stocked vendors in shops malls and houses. This will be so fustrating because of having to restock and have no spare time when we have set aside for combat.
WHY FIX IT IF ITS NOT BROKE!!!
And this thing about vendors being destroyed if left for 2 weeks!±!!!Q!!!!!! I have now been on holiday for 2 and a bit weeks and been unable to play SWG, **edit** am i gonna do when im out!
are we expected to share our passwords to ppl so that our vendors wont be destroyed!

That's the current boat Master Tailors are in. With the sheer number of items and colour combinations available, they won't be able to stock the variety they have now.
Basically, the 2 key things for merchant success; Variety and Availability, will be struck down hard.

That was my point. With all the supposed database concern, is there any reason to believe that we would ever be given more choices?

None. What. So. Ever.
In fact.... I have a sneaking suspicion that we're not seeing the culmination of the insanity, we're seeing the start of it. I mean, if they choke the end of the production line off, the effect should propagate backwards through the chain, right?
No space on vendors = smaller runs. (Now we change schematics back to max 100)
Smaller runs = less need for resources (mass storage space problem solved--"Why do you need extra storage? You can only run 1/10th of what you used to.")
Less need for resources = less need for cross-server lots (another problem solved!)
Insidious.
