Is the Ronka painting the same painting as the Grunda Painting?

Here is why I am asking - On Intrepid we got the Ronka painting Friday. I noticed it was the same as the Grunda painting and submitted a bug report and a ticket to CS.

Here is the reply that I got from CSR-EvanF

"After investigating this further , the graphics for this painting do seem to be the same image. This seems by intent as the other is given as a reward for certain tasks, while this is crafted (though the schematic is a reward.) While I am sorry to hear that you made a run of these paintings without knowing what they were of, CS will not be reimbursing you any resources of schematics that you have used while creating this painting. If you still feel this is a bug please report it using the /bug command so that the development can investigate further, but at this time we will not be able to offer a reimbursement. Please delete this ticket at your convenience."

Now this really throws me for a loop. I submitted the ticket stating that painting was wrong and if they changed it and my facotry run was bad then I wanted a new schematic and the resources back.

After I submitte the ticket the first time I received a response back stating this from CSR-MikeK

"We will send to our QA department to investigate. YOu can keep an eye on the patching notes on the SWG launch pad."

CSR-MikeK left the ticket open and CSR-EvanF closed the ticket.

And one thing - CSR-EvanF needs to learn that purchasing the schematic at the Bestine Museum - is not a rewward - how many rewards cost 48k?

And the Grunda painting - that is not a reward either - thats a way to snag a painting - not complete the quest - then start the quest all over again.

To be a CSR - do you need to understand the game?

Anyway - is the Grunda Painting and the Ronka painting really the same thing afterall?

Thanks -

My guess is that this Grunda guy is just a two-bit hack and actually copied the artist of the Ronka Plant and then tried to pass off the work as his own.

Okay - I am cool that they are the same painting.

How easy would it have been for the CSR's to tell me that instead of the song and dance I got?

Amazing.........

Yes, they're the same painting, but don't forget to look at the painting hanging outside the curators office in the Bestine museum. I usually only buy the small tree/plant paintings for my architect, but already have this in the form of the Grunda painting (which has a better description). We just got that painting on Kauri this weekened, and as soon as I noticed it hanging on the wall in the museum, I turned around and left.

I've had 2 theories about the alleged CSRs.

My first belief was simpy that CSRs did not exist. They were only a myth I heard about on the forums. I never saw one. None of them ever responded to any ticket that *I* opened. SO I concluded that they must not exist and were like unicorns or leprechauns. Simply fairy tales to amuse or frighten newbies.

But then I had another theory which is that the entire custoemr suport division at SOE is actually some elaborate automated bots. When you submit a ticket the bot will do some keyword matching and just spit out an answer that comes somewhere close. It would explain a lot of the answers we get which seem like they didn't really read your question or comprehend it. A complicated IF .. THEN routine can't actually comprehend.
