Thread: Ore shortage, C++ runtime errors, what next?

I thought being an architect was tough before all this, but come on!

After JTL came out, I couldnt buy ore... because all my suppliers were out chasing steel etc. for ships.

OK, fine... I put out some more harvesters and suspended harvester sales.

That hurt, since harvester sales on Bloodfin have been very good, but whatever.

I can still make money on all the other stuff I sell, right?

NOW i can't even make houses and city structures because I get this stupid C++ runtime crash every time I get near my factories.

EVERY TIME.

I love this game, but it seems like lately it doesnt love me.

Oh well, I have more time for college homework now I guess.

DId you submit a /bug report? If not then you should do so and ttell them exactly where it is happening. Like give them the coordinates and planet and server. The more data they get the easier it will be for them to fix it right.

already did submit all my info on the tech support forums. Theres like 6 pages of people with the same problem, although most of them are finding it in player cities. My factories are in a very congested area south of Coronet, though, probably similar to a player city.

I had the same problem, i seem to have fixed it. Have you looked through the knowledge base? I disabled my msconfig startup menu, which seems to have fixed my problem, or at least it has reoccured since i did it.

I've been having runtime errors for over a week, starting soon after one of the hotfixes. Thesituations are similar to what others have described: accessing my structure factory (and only the structure factory) and travelling to some specific locations.I've done several full scans, and none of them have had any effect. It is getting old. It's actually rathercomforting to hear that others are having similar problems. I had been speculating that the cause might be some other thing on my computer, like my latest security downloads (Symantec). This does not seem very likely now.

Ya I've been getting it on one of my chars in a specific area between his house and harvesters on Tatooine. Thats an alt on Kauri that I only play a little bit. My main chars I play a whole lot more. But I haven't had it happen anywhere else with my Kauri char and I haven't had it happen at all with any other characters on other servers.
