Thread: The future of Architects?
I apologize if this has been asked before or if Sony has mentioned it and I just missed it. I am just wondering what the role of Architects will be in the future. I know for the time being people will want houses, factories, and then PA halls, but then what? What happens when the landscape is dotted with houses ( I know it won't be like UO was, but still, there will be a lot ) and every guild that's worth anything has their own PA building?
What I mainly want to know is if there will ever be more things for us to build. Things that don't last forever, potentially, like houses. I'm talking about structures for the battlefield or spaceships that can be destroyed. I know spaceships don't really fall under the roll of Architect but it fits better than anything else. It is easy to imagine ships and other large structures that require seperate pieces from Architects, Weaponsmiths, and Armorsmiths to make.
So, is this their plan? I actually was just reading the instruction manual again and noticed that they mentioned Artisans can create structures on the battlefield, but don't really elaborate.
Again, I'm sorry if this has been answered, I just don't know where to look. Feel free to call me an idiot and post a link. I'm just concerned right now because I only get to play 4-5 hours a night, except weekends, and that's just not enough to keep up with the people who more more time to power their way up the Architect tree. And it doesn't take many Architects to build people houses. I just want to decide right now whether or not I should continue down this path or if I should take up something that I KNOW will be worthwhile, like being a Scout Leader or a master of anything else combat related.
Good question. As far as I have seen I haven't noticed battlefield structures. That was a main reason I was going to become an architect. Im guessing it must be in an upcoming patch?
I am guessing they are going to add some new professions like mechanic, vehicle designer...
With all the complaints about the 33k of exp for architect I may change my mind. As folks have said if you aren't an architect early whats the point. Battlefield structures seems to be the only reason to be a late adopter.
Yes, good question. From what I have understood Architects will also be responsible for battlefield structures (ex. Turrets, bunkers, etc.). I believe I read it in the manual (but I could be wrong). In any case I remember reading it from an official source. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong on this.
Hope this helps.
A follow up question, as I just got into the harvestor area and see that each takes a deed, will battlefield plots count against your ten??
it may seem like it shouldn't but if it does each side would need a few arcitechts in battle to be succesful and make us very sought after for that as well.
I can 't believe how quickly people are climbing these trees too, i have become very good at crafting really tedious about what I make, but last night I just jammed out a bunch of crap to move my level up and I am a casual user going into different avenues but I am still pretty high on the tree but not close to others on bria.
good questions though...i hope Q still checks these boards.
