This may not be the right forum but I could not find a 'Dev Idea Forum'....

My idea is to have a schematic made available at a higher level of the Architect profession as part of the Installations tree. This schematic would enable the crafting of a harvester control unit that players could use to monitor the status of their harvesters. Perhaps a combination of datapad and the interface window for the harvesters. It would allow the following for a harvester:

  • checking of status

  • maintaining hopper and admin lists

  • changing the resource being harvested

  • turning the harvester on and off

To deposit power and empty the hopper you would still have to visit each harvester. Paying maintenance could be done both in person and via the tip bank functionality. Where if you do not want to visit the harvester you can pay the premium to electronically send credits to it’s maintenance pool.

I think that this type of change would greatly enhance game play and reduce some of the tediousness of maintaining the harvesters for the professions that require them. From a role playing perspective I am basing this request on the fact that we have similar technology today and I am assuming that the Star Wars galaxy is just a little ahead of us tech wise

As a side note it would also be great if we had ability to withdraw maintenance and power from harvesters similar to how we are able to withdraw maintenance from vendors.

Thanks,
Liichen
