My name is Miinah and I am the Mayor of an upcoming PA called New Reclamation. We are six real life friends who came together to live up to the challenge of building our own PA Hall and this is our story…

We are Mayor Miinah and Councilors Tisicuto, Pahke, Thomgil, Laeoki, and Cidrom. We have decided to form a rebel community under the name New Reclamation. The six of us have decided to build our own PA Hall rather than purchasing one because we wanted to build an infrastructure as well as grow together as a team through this experience. We decided it best to hold off on recruiting any new members until the Hall is completed so that we have something grand to offer our new members.

We have worked very hard the past two weeks. Our life has been consumed with running missions and feeding mineral extractors. I don’t think I could possibly look at another gnort without getting sick! We formulated a plan, which had us building the Hall at the end of two weeks. Well, the end of the two weeks was Sunday and sadly, we are without a PA Hall.

Sunday there was a resource refresh, which left all our steel harvesters dead. Still hopeful, we decided to switch our ore extractors to what little steel was near, I also went into town and bartered for steel for hours. Because we sacrificed our ore extractors, we were behind by one day. This did not worry us because we knew we could easily switch back to ore and have the ore we needed by the next night. Thankfully, Sunday night we had managed to accumulate all the steel we would need. We set our extractors back to ore and went to bed with dreams of a grand PA Hall dancing in our heads.

Monday was to be the day, all we needed to do was harvest the ore from the night, wait for Tisicuto (our Architect) to gain a little xp and then the big moment. But this was not the case at all…we awoke to all ore being depleted from our planet. I was in shock. This couldn’t be happening. Not only were we just plain sick of running missions, Tisicuto would be leaving to go on vacation on Thursday. If we did not build our Hall by Wednesday, we would have to wait until his return. I immediately started sending tells to other PA’s to see if they had a stockpile of ore, but I was not successful in finding any. After hours of tell storms, I finally got wind that Dantooine had a 60% spot of ore. That’s it, were going! Myself, Pahke, and a future guildmate, traveled abroad to place our extractors on Dantooine.

We had no idea what was in store for us on Dantooine. Besides the enormous amount of aggressive creatures, the terrain was in no way fit for extractors. Nevertheless, we took a deep breath and began to survey. There was indeed 60-65% low grade ore on Dantooine. After many hours of trying to fit our extractors in a good area and a few deaths, we finally did it. We were set, one day of harvest should just about get us what we need. All we need to do is wait and macro, wait and macro, wait and macro. Exhausted, our future guildmate, Choko, went to bed. Pahke and I stood side-by-side, feeling a great sense of accomplishment. We were faced with a tremendous challenge and we will pull it off. We will build our PA Hall before Thursday. Relieved, Pahke and I built a camp and chit chatted as we sampled for ore, recapping the events of the last few days.
As Pahke and I roasted gnort meat over the open fire, we noticed that one of our extractors has stopped. Pahke immediately jumped to his feet and examined the extractor. OMG! NO WAY! ANOTHER RESROUCES REFRESH! The 60% low grade ore on Dantooine was now a measly 30% and less. Pahke and I hung our heads low, packed up the extractors, and went home to Moenia.

We arrived in Moenia to find that the ore had returned to our area but in very small amounts. Since we had tried the Dantooine operation, we had no power left to feed any more extractors for the night. We had no choice but to go to bed without placing a single extractor. It is now Tuesday and we don’t know what to do. We will likely place our extractors in the small percent areas in Moenia, but this will not give us the ore we need by the time Tisicuto leaves for vacation. This is why I am writing today…I am hopeful that there is a kind soul who believes in karma. We need a min of 60k ore to pull this off.

I feel for you my friend, and if I had the resources, and new that you were on my galaxy I would help you out. But alas, my digging for ore is like trying to dig through titanium with a jell-o shovel.

"Which did you like better? 'Jedi' or "The Empire Strikes Back?"
"Jedi"
"Blasphemy!"
"'Empire' had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, find out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All 'Jedi' had was a bunch of Muppets."

a sad but happen all too often story.

Only advice I can offer is buy the energy you need from the bazaar/players

2nd keep track of when last resrouces change, and prepare/stockpile in advance for the next shift which is 5-8 days from the last resrouces changes

A sad tale indeed

Remember, resource shifts don't happen instantly, they can take a couple days. As a result, if the shift starts, you need to be VARY wary of anywhere you move harvs for the next 48 hours. Just because you *think* you found a great new spot, remember, that may be in shift too... you can't really rely on ANY resource once the shift begins until about 2 days later in my mind. I check them at least twice a day if I can when the shift begins.

Oh, I am in no way asking for a handout. This is part of the experience in my opinion. We are not asking for ore for free, I know there is a price, whether it be structures or credits. I am sure anyone who has built a PA Hall bought some of their resources, espeically toward the end. I am just being creative in the way I am asking. The story is true, but I am not asking for a handout. Thanks for your post, perhaps I was not clear about what I was asking for.

Of all the resources you have available to you, patience is what will get you through. Sure, they can make this easy for you, but then everyone would be doing it. I am (until recently) an one-man operation supporting 4 other new players (we too know each other in RL) in trying to get them on their feet and to start a PA. The resource refresh is a minor annoyance, but the way I see it, there're basically two choices, adapt or quit. It sounds to me like you're basically asking for handout so that you guys can make a deadline you set for yourselves. Is the deadline that important? Are you going to come back here for help next time you run into some hardship? I don't wish to flame. But I wish to implore you to see this through yourselves. In doing so, you will bring honor to your PA and the 6 of youwill be better for it. May the force be with you.
