Thread: Crafting Stations, experimented?

Since novice archs are able to create crafting stations, can they effect any experimentation bonuses that a station would have?

If so, would / could this directly affect the quality of experimentation of items created using that crafting station?

Finally, if this is possible, I am in the market for some very high experimentation crafting stations. Food / Chemical and Weapon/Droid/.. specifically.

Thanks in advance for any info.

We had some 999 conductivity copper on Lowca for precisely 2 days ... I immedeately created all new surveying tools, crafting stations, crafting tools and experimented them all the way up to 99%. It is my contention that experimental efficiency maximization in those tools do this. Surveying tools pull in more resources. A friend and I tested em out and definately noticed a dfiiference in resources pull from full HAM to empty one with a 24% tool one with a 99% tool. Crafting tools... also at 99% experimental efficiency, I have yet to see significant changes from a lower percentage tool that I can document but it is my feeling that they have lowered my critical failures a bit. Crafting stations at 99% with all the optional items installed (note here that it is a friend of mine who is a Master Armorsmith and mine that stacked components do not properly transfer their stats to the final product ) have increased the number of points you get for successful experimetations. It seems that my friend gets more resistance percentage than other Armorsmiths with the same materials and the same level of experimentation skill. None of this I can properly document except the surveying tool increases in performance. But the observations lean in the direction of them being true.

So you're saying that a 24% mineral survey device that shows a 71% concentraion would be different then one at 90% ?

I think he is stating that sampling with those different devices would produce different yields over a period of time.

I experiment eveything I make - crafting stations I make are approximately 95% efficiency after experimentation. From my own experience, they do affect the experimentation and reduce failures because my first creations were in the 70% range and I'd crit every once in a while and have few amazing successes. Now I have all my own stations at 98% each and have amazing successes on experimenting items made through them almost all the time...

The only I see in providing you stations myself is that you did not mention what server you are on - I'm on Radiant, so if that's where you are, send me a mail message in game - My character name is GoCanes.

maunst is correct ... over a period of time using two different survey tools one with a 99% experimental efficiency and the other with around 24% we sampled from full HAM to the point you could not sample any longer. No heals no stopping and the higher efficiency tool brought up more resources than the lower . 10 times out of 10 same percentage of concentration same player same amount of HAM at the begining of each run.
