I know most of you were all probably at my stage as a novice artisan trying to become an Architect by building things like guns but my problem is that even though i have made about 6 regular cdef guns (rifles and carbines) no body is buying them so i can not go up to becoming an architect and paying the 1000 credits to go up each time, i cant to far away deliver missions because if i die again i will have to insure again for like 6000 credits. And i am not very good at destroying things. Any help on how i could make money any 1 ? thanks for hearing me out.

Well, I realized the path from novice artisan to novice architect is a long and difficult one. But I really don't have any good pointers for you. Alot of things have changed since I reached novice architect and many I do not think will apply any more. For example:

1. I used /sample to collect free metal and chemical (/sample has been nerfed. Two times the action point cost and Two times the time between each /sample)

2. I made weapon powerups which yielded a 1 unit of resource = 4 general crafting xp (also nerfed, it now returns the same rate of 1 to 2 ratio like everything else)

3. I made money off making CDEF gun while I was an artisan because no one was making better weapons.

The best advice I can give you is this: Pick up a gun, do some easy destory missions on the starting planets. Earn yourself at least 40K or so by completeing missions (combat isn't really that hard). Buy several harvestors, and begin craftthe most resource intensive item you can make WITH practice mode on. Don't waste money by learning from the npc trainers, alot of players are willing to train you artisan skills for free.

Unfortunately, it's difficult to make things people will buy these days. Unless you are the top of the food chain, people don't much want what you have.

One idea is to scrape together some money from delivery missions (take the shuttle, don't run from town to town.) Start a small resource harvesting business, selling most of the resource to keep your harvesters running, and using the leftover to craft whatever you want in practice mode.

Most of the ways to grind to the top have been "fixed". So my best advice is to have fun with the game, don't try to win.

You should not have to insure right now. They are still having some issues with items disapearing and until they fix that issue they have it set so that when you die you keep all your items just like you did when you were a newbie (All items auto insured). Also when you go to take a destroy mission make sure you don't have any weapon in your hands (unless you are a brawler in which case put a weapon in your hand). This will ensure that you get the lowest level mission they have. Pick two in the same direction and go knock them out. Get in a group if possible and do the missions and split the loot. Once you have enough you can even buy a probot so you can solo the missions if there to hard.

One more suggestion on the mission: A lot of people still go on the destroy missions and kill the mobs which are up then start shooting the camp until it's destroyed. Don't do this. Kill the mobs that are up then shoot the camp one time then peace out. Wait a few and more will spawn but they will not run at you. Kill them then shoot the camp again and peace out...........Repeat till no more spawn (normally this takes doing it about 3 times max). Now destroy the camp in peace without getting over ran.

Hope this helps some
