I'm going to suggest this one:

Is it possible forthe guild:abbrev tag to be expanded for use in admin lists, structures with entry fees, chat invites, and/or guild tells?

Does anyone else have thoughts?

Next week is time for SL to be up again. 1 Question. What do we want to ask?

With the revamp pending, some of this new Q&A stuff seems a little moot, but I'm glad we have their ear. I liked the clarification we got last time regarding the Rally function. Maybe ask for the same kind of clarification regarding the intended vs. actual functionality of Volley Fire?

heh.. SL's do so little already that I can't think of anything to ask.. Plus with the Revamp coming up, does any of it really matter?

The vollyfire question sounds ok.. TH has already said that they don't have anything on the revamp yet, so we can't ask anything about that.. They're changing our "vision", so we can't really ask anything about that.. Why don't we ask how many Devs have actually played a Squad Leader for more than 1 continuous month, and what were their final thoughts

Well, if people can't really find something to ask...and we are getting a revamp...we could ask about the revamp.

"What is the combat role the developers see SL being designed to fit in the revamp? Are they looking at active combat roles? Support roles? Mix of the two? NPC control?"

Technically multiple questions but the following ? are prompts for clarification.

Oh, and asking the Dev question would be pretty good too. I think that would be kind of funny. Or maybe sad. I don't know if the Devs get a chance to group much when they play and you have to be in a group to play SL. Thulium told me once he talked to Q and that Q was playing SL at that time.

I hate asking questions like that, because they're so easy to dodge.. But it may be the best thing to do.. Maybe we can slip in the Dev question too

I agree, I hate dodgy questions also. And it likely would get dodged. But that chance it wouldn't is also there. And if there is nothing else pressing we find more important to get information on...well might be okay to waste one question. But I'd like to hear more feedback before we do that.

Just a thought (from that last post bump). Is there a question involving the recent CSR crackdown on spamming? Alot of SL's have been getting warned for spamming lately, from using their commands in like 1-second macro loops (spamming /formup & /steadyaim are quite common in PvP).

Yeah, that's a good one. I haven't gotten dinged for that yet, but I have been seeing a lot of complaints. I'd like to hear the devs' official stance on this as well as get some assurance that somebody will smack the CSR's back in line. Of course, as part of the revamp I will also be requesting that we get the option of disabling the spatial /yell spam that comes with so many of our specials.

In terms of the SL warnings: What I need are some more specifics. I need player and server and maybe a few more details such as when this happened. We brought it up on the corr boards and to look into it further they will need that information. If someone complains about it elsewhere and you see it please direct them to post the relevant details (no need for an impassioned post) on the SL board.

Where is our "official" SL correspondant? Can you pick a new one? (ok, thats two questions)

Last night in Bestine. An enemy popped up on the radar as we just got off the shuttle so I turned on my macro so we could catch them. Almost immediately I got a tell from a CSR saying I had been warned and must stop spamming. I told him it was my Squad leader commands and couldn't help but yell in spatial. He responded with another generic "stop spamming, you have been warned" and was told not to spam in cities. I responded again saying there was an enemy here and I needed to use my commands.

All of my squad leader yells are "/addignore ESD" so people who don't like the spam will do so and not have to listen to me. The bad part is, I have to constantly tell guildies and group members to not put me on ignore because I can't invite them to groups if I'm on their ignore list. It's getting really old having people scream "INVITE ME!" over and over and I can't do anything about it except ask another group or guild member to message them and tell them to /removeignore me. Trust me, the spam annoys me and my group as much as it does everyone else... I get tells almost nightly saying "I just reported you for spamming" or "Shut up".

I ONLY use my macros during fights or I use a retreat macro that goes every 23 seconds so my group has burst run. Just think if every combat profession had a /yell for all their specials. I only PVP and don't even have the slightest urge to roleplay my profession. I don't want to yell commands, I just want to help my group out. They need to give us an option to do /setformup none. In DAoC I was a Runemaster that had a skill that absorbed a physical attack and it would go off every few seconds... instead of spamming there was just a little blinking icon on the screen letting the group know that the buff was on. Why can't they do something like that?

Sorry if I rambled, it just seems like I get harrassed nightly for playing my profession and using the commands I was given by the game. I think half the server has me on ignore by now anyway...
