Thread: Fluidic Drilling Pump and Harvesting Mechanism Bugged?
I just created a Harvesting Mechanism and a Fluidic Drilling Pumpfor an Automated Flora Farm and a Moisture Vaporator (both medium type harvesters). I got a BER of1 before experimentation and 4 after experimentation - it seems very wrong... I did use as high a quality materials as I could (800+), matching what the schematic said. I don't want to do the final construction if this is bad.
I then made several Personal harvester at BER 4. What is going on here?
Yes, it will be improved upon. I made an ore module of ber 6 and made a 13 rate harvestor from it.
I may be mistaken but are the ore mining units at ber 3 fully experimented? then you take 2 for a large harvester, and end up with a base rate of 10, then experiment to 13.. The oddity was the two new large harvester components that showed a higher BER (4) per unit but still add up to base 10 before experimentation on the final assembly..
Either way, they need to make the old and new large harvester components max the same and give a justification for the number.. it would seem the base of a large is 7, so 2 mining mechs with base rate 2 each should make a base 11 unit.. then experiment higher from there.. or perhaps a basic mining mech starts at 1, there are 2 in the schematic, so the base rate starts at 5, plus the 2 mining mechs to make a basic 7.. then experiment the mining mechs to 3 each to get a base 11, then experiment the final assy. to 13..still dont work with the newunits..
I do know that the mining mechanism needs to be experimented to over 90 percent to reach max, while the final assembly needs 88% to acheive max.. I typically go to 95 or 96 on the mining mechs and 93% on the final assy.
I guess I neglected to ask the most important question... can that BER be improved during the final construction? Because it JUST can't be as low as a personal harvester.
