How do I make macros to help with all the tedious grinding? I'm an idiot so anyone who can break this down I'd appreciate it. Just to put this out its nothing to do with holocrons I bought a second account so I can help my guild by making a armorsmith/architect and I need help with crafting macros. Thanks for all your help you masters of SWG.

These are the 2 macros that work for me:

macro1 : /selectDraftSchematic xx

Where xx is the number for the schematic in question. I find this number more or less by trial and error and by looking at the draft schematics in my data pad. I think they are numbered sequentially starting at 0 but not sure off the top of my head. Trick here is that I also think the numbers will change as you get new schematics as you increase skill.

and

macro2: /nextCraftingStage; /nextCraftingStage; /nextCraftingStage; /createProtoType; /createProtoType;

SO this is how I use them:

Put a few tools in hot buttons. like F1, F2 and F3. Then put the macros in a couple other convenient hot buttons like maybe F4 and F5. Then here would be the steps:

F1 - use tool to start crafting

F4 - macro1 to select schematic

Manually insert required resources.

F5 - macro2 to finish crafting

Hope this is clear enough.

I followed the instructions exactly as listed..but the only schematic that comes up is the Basic Camp schematic. Any thoughts?

Try manually shifting to installation from generic? I'm not in front of a crafting tool now, but it sounds like you're working in the wrong line, and maybe selecting it first manually will alter the rest of your attempts.

Also, I think that there are macros that handle putting resources in, FYI.
