Thread: Questions about items that don't require experimentation

Hi all. I'm relatively new to the Architect Profession and had a couple of questions for the community. Also I tried looking for the FAQ (for those of you I hear shouting RTFM) but couldn't find it.

Questions:

  • Does producing an "amazing success" on a structure module effect a hidden rating since you can't experiment on it? The same goes for a generator unit.

  • Is it possible to use a resource that doesn't have say a "Heat Resistance" or "Shock Resistance" attribute in a schematic that calls it out? If so, is the default rating a "zero" or otherwise?

  • Is there a way to make a factory type more efficient in speed? Does anyexperimentation on a factory matter?

  • Does having a high mind/focus/will effect results in any way?

Thanks in advance.

1. Experimenting on structural modules doesn't make any difference. Don't waste your time.
2. You can use materials that don't have the stat (such as chemical doesn't have SR - or is it HR? i forget) and it doesn't have any effect on the sum (zeros it for that part).
3. No, experimenting on a factory deed does nothing.
4. Your HAM has no effect on experimentation. The only thing that plays on that is the # of points you can play with, and the quality of tools/stations you use to help reduce failures.
