Thread: Another Retired Architect
I just wanted to express my gratitude towards all the architects in the game. I have officially retired from the Architecture business. I have stuck with it since the very beginning, and was one of the first master architects on my server, and I did it 100% solo: no guild, no financer. I cant say I did not enjoy it, I actually did, bugs and all. I recall my first crit fail on a PA hall, and the frustration level it created, but I pushed past it, and became somewhat wealthy in my endeavors.
My reason for retiring is simple: I want more from the game. I don't want to start over on a new server, and I figure what better way to play other careers than by having a net worth close to 20 million credits! On Sunday, I surrendered the entire tree, after making sure all my customers were taken care of.
I hope the architect profession is taken care of properly, and I hope the bugs are eliminated in the near future. I also hope the profession I end up pursueing is not buggier than architect.
For all the architects that remain, keep fighting for the things that are important: less bugs, better prices, less failures, and more architectural diversity. All of you have been an influence on the developers in regards to developing this profession, and I have seen some good results. Keep it up!
Thanks to all that provide input on the architect forums.
I completely understand that, I’m making the preparations for doing the same thing. Finishing my last orders, making the best harvesters I’m able of each type for everyone one of my lots, making up one of each factory, enough small, medium and large houses other buildings that I’ll ever need for my player city and using up all the components I have sitting around before I give up Architect tree to venture out and see what the other professions are like.
