Hi guys!
I just made master architect after a few months of just extracting resources and making furniture/small houses. As soon as my new Tag was up I decided it was time to try adn do a Fusion BER14. Made the necessary components and assembled. I have an extraction 6 ore mining unit and the rest of the components ( walls, generator turnibes and manufactoring mechanism) appeared to have no quality associated, is this right? Anyway I assembled got a great sucess and it was BER13. As the only experiment line on the schematic was Hopper I was stuck with a BER13 Fusion. No prob, I tried again with better materials on the Ore mining unit and got up to 97%, still an extraction rate 6...
My question is Is there Ore mining units of extraction rate 7? If not what do you need to make the fusion come out BER14? The materials used in the final combine do not matter, do they? Is it the same for other harvesters? I never did them as making worse than premuin Extractors is a waste of materials...
Can you more experienced Architects give me a hand?

With the Ore Mining Unit, it doesn't matter what the final BER is, what matters is that the experientation rate is as high as it can go.
The OMU with the experimentation rate of 97% should do.
The reason behind this is that even though we see a BER of 6 on the OMU, the system actually keeps track of a number of decimal points in the figure, so the first OMU was a low 6.something, while the second OMU was a high 6.something.

I have to go with trials and error then, ok... Thanx!

Actually, I'll bet this is your problem. Use some slightly better resources (HR+SR+2UT) for the final combine and you'll hit 14.

Experiment your OMU as high as possible - so your 97% one is great.
The *final assembly* DOES matter - use steel, metal, and ore with very high architect stats. ((2 * UT) + HR + SR) / 4) greater than 900.
Also, use lube oil for the "chemical" in the final assembly.
Whatever you get on the initial assembly (ratewise) is it - you can then experiment the hopper size up.

Thx a lot guys!
Just one more thing: to do BER13 Extractors it's the same logic? 90%+ componentts and very god amterials for the final combine?

I read the faq now and its very good i like it.
has anyone proven you can't do a ber 14 heavy mineral miner? I know your saying you can hit 14 with lube oil on the fusions. what about that same meterial on heavy miners?
has this been proven or has have the Dev's answered that the cap IS ber 13.

It's proven. BER 14s do exist, but these were only possible on 'temporary tuesday'. the max is 13 except for fusions.
