While sitting in the mens room at the Cherry Hill mall, I thought this up...

Wouldn't itsuck if you were an architecht and you got an order of small harvesters but you only got general crafting exp? I think that you should be able to choose (for some things) where your exp goes. This would also work for armorsmiths, tailors, DEs, chefs, (ok, ok, pretty much all of the crafting professions). For example, when you make bone armor, you should be able to choose between general crafting exp and aromr crafting xp.

Tell me what you think!

I'd tell them to look on the bazaar.

Personal harvestors? LOL...I am 265 days in, and used personals until like 2 weeks ago. Im an architect who makes homes, who finally had a needed to upgrade.

About the idea...choosing xp would have people making different things for different xp which would be causing problems with an influx of stuff that is easy to make.

People who can't afford 150k heavy miners. What about this idea. (For all Crafting Proffesions)

Any items people craft, trade, buy, find can be broken down into resources and XP. That way instead of pitching pointless loot you could re-use the materials.

why would this person contact an architect?

he would contact an artisan. personal harvesters are in the artisan line.

Most people, especially the newer ones who are the most likely to be buying personals, don't realize that they are artisan crafted, not architect crafted. Believe me, I sure didn't until after I had bought my starting set.

Well, maybe I"m missing something but I use a personalmineral harvesterto cheaply sample that new spawn of radioactive, should I not have a harvester in place thatI can "switch over" for a few minutes. Beats the heck out of taking massive wounds way out in the middle of nowhere.

And generally, while there's times I've wished I could "direct" my xp, I don't think it would be good for the game. Think back to hologrinding.
