I made a chemical recycler last night andI thought I would share this info.

turns all chem, fiberplast, polymer, lub oil to "Chemicals" with 200 stats across the boards

it also converts Radioactive materials (who knows why), Water (again why) Solid Chem, and regular chemical

This is not very useful unless you have a bunch of different luboil that you are trying to convert to one product. just thought I would let everyone know.

Do the stats on the chemical that it producdes include HR, SR and UT? If so it wouldn't be any good for harvesters with a stat of 200 for those.

Would be useful for everything else that uses a generic chemical though.

use it for Lubricating oil, it does not have any of the states that effect a harvester at all.

The Recyclers work in mysterious ways. The Metal Recycler turns copper into smelted sopper, steel into smelted steel and so on, but the Creature Recycler turns every type of hide into synthesized hide instead of synthesized wooly hide as I would've hoped. I have no idea why some recyclers turn resources into their first, basic stat, while others only go back one step. Hopefully they'll change this sometime in the near future, cause as happy as I am with the Metal Recycler, I sure would like to know if my time to build the other 4 wasn't completely wasted.

Sorry I should have included that.. the only stats that it has is DR - 200 and OQ - 200

So far I have managed to get the metal, chem, ore recylers if anyone would like to make a toon on my server and play with them a little bit, just send me a PM and we can set up a time for you to come out..

recyclers in general (chem, ore & metal) are helpful for archies in a number of ways...

1) you never have to mine lube oil again... any chem can now be converted to be the same thing... gives you something to do with your excess or 3rd tier polymers

2) Walls, structure mods etc. can now be made completely generic making it real easy to run full schematic runs when materials required are some round number (like 200k for factory run + 200 extra for crafting the schem)

3) Extending the life of schematics by making them part generic... if you decide to make schematics for things like crafting stations, but run all up front you can cut down some on the need for specific resources later or ones that you have to go searching for 3 months down the line

Overall they're worth having in a shop if you're not shelling out top credits for em. It would be a bit more useful if some of the tools were less gneric-ifying (hide vs. wooly hide for furnture, gems vs. crystaline gems for the tailors making trim), and its not going to allow to make better stuff then you are now, but after having a set a week or three I do find them useful.

I have all 5 built and the steel and ore areby far an Arcitects best friend, the chem is okay for reasons stated but the organic is a god send, sitting on a stack of 87k synthesized hide for paintings and couches. The flora one is way to small and dont know if it really has a good use but my alt is a smuggler so it may come in handy for making mass quantities of drugs.

I agree that the metal and ore recyclers are the best thing to happen to archi's in a while. I love building stacks of generic ore and metal for structural mod's and walls. Not to mention combining aluminums to get enough for a factory run of 1k of generator Turbines. I'm still trying to put the pieces together for a chemical recycler but it sounds like that's gonna be a good one as well.
