hey MAN! DEVS! Factories should be there to relieve people of the GRIND and produce items in mass quantities, not be a prerequisite for building things. (armorsmith, architect, probably weaponsmith).

Whats the deal with FACTORY CRATES? Just cause an item comes from a FACTORY CRATE doesnt give that item magical properties imbued by our creator with inalienable rights yadda yadda yadd. In real life a factory crate is a frigging box with stuff inside. Whotpy doo.

A) Dramatically Increase rate at which factories produce items

B) Increase maintenence on factories

C) Increase timer about 10x on crafting station (like for example, it takes 10 seconds to make a powerup, make it 100 seconds), then only allow all artisan classes to have one crafting station open at any time, then would factories be a valuable asset to players.

D) Get rid of the stupid requirement to build things like:

-Mabari armor requires cloth from frigging FACTORY CRATES

-Heavy Mineral Harvesters requires wall module units from frigging FACTORY CRATES

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO COME INSIDE OF FACTORY CRATES?!!! I think something was overlooked in alpha.

Dude... I think you should consider switching professions... you obviously cant handle it.

I did, I have experimented with Droid Engineer/Armorsmith/Architect so far.

No doubt tailors/chefs/weaponsmiths require the almighty FACTORY CRATE also.

Its an artificial requirement for factories that is the problem. There should be no artificial requirement cause in real life FACTORY CRATES were just boxes with stuff in them. The real life DEMAND for factories is for mass production not an artificial one.

OMG, what a total troll...

How many different forums are you gonna post this crap in?

Oh, and C. ain't gonna happen... remember the grind to get Engineering IV?

And maybe you just don't get it... but the whole reason for factory crates is to have IDENTICAL items... Meaning they are exactly the same in every way.

Some parts just need to be like that... Other times they don't. it depends on how advanced the items are.

In most cases, a profession doesn't require identical products until the upper tiers of their advanced profession.

Here is an analogy of what you are doing... You are trying to put together a dual processor system using different speeds of the same CPU type... Sure, they are similar, even if they have different clock speeds... but not identical, and hence just won't work.

However if you were trying the same for a lower grade component... say Memory. It might actually work. if the requirement was only for PC100, you could mix and match PC100 with PC133.

Now I fully agree... factory production should be sped up... but there's no reason to try and nerf standard production by hand.

Alright, now that I explained this to you, why don't you go back and try getting at least a box or two in an advanced profession before you cry for nerfs.

Because a factory crate containsIDENTICAL items. Every item in the crate has exactly the same stats, a hand crafed item doesn't...each is different.

You want that cloth for the armour...go buy a crate from a tailor or make/buy a wearables factory, get the skills and make your own.

I have no problem with this system. I've made my own factories and make my own crates of stuff...I could just as easily have made deals with different professions for the crates I need.

Actually factory crates is highly realistic. Today machined parts are done within 10000s of an inch to each other. Think of factory crates as being identical components for certain structures. It's done at Ford not only to speed up the process, but also to make the machines more reliable.

The problem with BBugMaster is that hes been posting slagging us all off for charging too much and now the realisation has hit him. Because when you hit novice architect things are nice and simple. You have a few personal harvesters and can craft a few small houses and medium harvs without too much trouble, all nice and easy. Then he realises the complete buggeration factor in architecture and why its abit silly sellingstuff for 1c a resource or something. Think hes just getting abit upset about the realisation. Happens to most of the lowballers when they suddenly hit the hard stuff.

This is a stupid man.

I wouldnt mind if they removed the multiple armor segments from a crate requirements on armor. In fact, if they keep up the changes with armor enchacements, then you have to loot an obscene number to make a full suit of armor, but its doable, and i can live with it.

The factories wotk fine. And if people like grinding all day long on weapon powerups then let them.

YEAH! And while you're at it, get rid of that resource requirement for making things too!
