And if they get nerfed, will they be reverted to 4? Or something else?

Bought 16 already and ordered 12 more

i doubt they will get reverted. If anything happens at atll they are more likely to improve (7 spec rate means master experimentation) as they are adding 5 extra experimentation points to architect.

My bet is on a nerf back to 4. Otherwise there will just be a mess, but wait the Devs like making a ..... mess!!!

The longer they wait on patching in the changes the less likely we will see a major nerf to the ones we are making now, I think. That's not to say they won't nerf them at all. But at this point, reverting all current deeds to base rates would be a bigger can of worms for them than the can they opened when they let experimentation in before it was correct. Too many people would be affected now. That's a whole lot of squeaky wheels.

From what I've gathered in the Dev forums, they are not planning on nerfing experimentation with architects. They are just going to put a cap on it, which I would guess will be 7 on mediums and 10 on heavies. They seem to like the fact that a really good medium can be as good as a crappy heavy. It gives masters a much needed advantage over novices. If they dont have this... why buy something off a master when a novice will sell it to you for practically nothing because they are just grinding for xp? Anyway, my impression from the dev statements and such seem to indicate not a nerf, but just a max, which I think is needed. Thanks.

I thought it was 8, 9, 10, 11 for heavies... I make BER 10 heavies with 51% Ore Mining components.

unfortunately as we can see from the responses here no one has a clue what any of this means... if the rates will be cut, or increased... if the new ones will be the same, or better...

there has simply been no communication on this other than..... arch experiment points are going up.... caps will be inplace.... they're not happy with some of the top end collection rates (they're too high) and that they think the best mediums should be as good as or a little better than the worst heavies.

Its a guessing game at best right now as to what will happen due to an utter lack of communication, not only on what the plan is for the future but also about what is actually being done to change it.

It's extremely unlikely they'll revert any pre-made harvesters back to a lower rate except by accident. Doing so is one of the cardinal sins of running a MMORPG in that you simply do not take away items from players unless it's deemed to be absolutely necessary. If the best mediums after this next big patch are only 6kg/hr for example that's not such a huge difference that the Devs would go back and screw hundreds of players with 7-8kg/hr mediums. However, from what little the Devs have said it appears that extraction rates may very likely change a bit, but not drastically so there should be zero danger of a harvester reversion backwards with the possible exception of those goofy 20-30+ kg/hr fusions that are floating around from the last big patch.

I would be absolutely shocked if they reverted back anyone's 7-8kg/hr medium or 10-11kg/hr heavy harvesters. The fusions are a different story... a friend of mine has a 30kg/hr fusion that was pulling in 41k+ units of radioactivesa day on a 95% concentration recently. That's sick.

They didn't remove the existing probots when they got nerfed nor the T21 rifles so it's unlikely they'd revert harvesters.

yes, that is the range of heavies, but I think only those with skill tapes can get the 11. My guess is that they will leave the current numbers like this. I'm not sure how the extra experiment points will work, considering masters can make 10's with only the 5 points we have now. SO, who knows.

I would imagine they would probably just spread the extraction rate range out over the experimented quality of your harvesting components, so today's rate 8 light ore mining unit may be tomorrow's 6....
