Thread: Who has a shop and loves to roleplay being an Architect?
Who here has a shop and what is your character like?
I used to have a shop on Tatooine which I tried to keep somewhat well decorated though it's a bit hard with all the resources that I have to keep on hand. Now my vendor is in a mall in our player city which is kind of nice (no one has to see my horribly messy house
I like to imagine my character as the crazy inventor type that sits cross legged on the floor, Surrounded by three crafting tools and a variety of broken instruments, Holding an electric welding tool in one hand and a fist full of tech-wrenches in the other. Of course she is constantly screaming at the partially constructed harvester (especially when a piece just falls off
Just curious if anyone else here role-plays their architect.

I role-play unless the person I am interacting with breaks character. I do not wish to behave strangely for the sake of role-playing. And I will discuss stats, like I'll say "BER 13" instead of therole-play-ish"extremely efficient harversting rates".
It's fun, but I also find the "resource game"highly entertaining...
I'm such a dork. ![]()
Howdy
I role play as the grumpy architect who complains all the time that Im kept hostage most of the time in our PA Hall basement making members stuff all day. Oh wait, is it role playing if it is the truth....LMAO.
I have a shop. I even call it "The Shop"
I haveevery typeof Crafting station (including ones I don't use!) old Data recorders & such on the floor, a Toolbox in both crafting rooms.
I may take to calling it "The Dungeon" though. Building Swoops & Laser weapons and futuristic houses by firelight...sheeesh
I just recently attained Master Architect, and I've had a shop in a player city for about a month or so now. Since business has generally been very slow (until recently, when it sped up to "only kinda slow"), I play my architect with a very earnest, ready-to-please personality who's very polite to customers, but generally pretty laid-back (and even sarcastic) with non-customers. The house/shop is tidy (except for the requisite crafting room) and showcases some fairly normal furniture, though I focus more on houses and harvesters.
Despite the sarcastic sense of humor, I try to be a friendly and helpful member of the community (and even succeed to some degree). It helps, of course, that the city has more than its share of role-players -- I, too, dislike acting strangely (i.e. RPing) around people who break character, and I also usually talk stats (I rationalize this with the idea that BER is a common benchmark among miners across the galaxy).
I got architect for my holo and am very happy now, i had gotten very tired of being to kill just about anything in the game, so now i am having fun with it, mastering merchant and tailor to boot. I have set up a beautiful showroom (or in the process of) if ur ever on shadowfire u might want to stop by and check out my living room, i really feel i have done a good job.
Also it is quite fun helping someone who isnt into that set up their house. I have helped 2 friends recently set up their houses and they have enjoyed the results as much as i did bouncing ideas off of them.
