Thread: Dumb question: Mineral harv vs. Fusion

Dumb question, but it seems to me I can't remember seeing someone selling a fusion reactor with a BER higher than 13, why wouldn't I just use a BER13 mineral miner instead of wasting money on a specialized harvester? Is there something in this equation I'm missing?

Yes. The maintenance and redeed of a fusion is lower, and it requires no power. So in the long run you pay more to operate the heavy harvester (and you get less power) than the BER14 fusion.
