**edit**, get the resources and mastering architect is the fastest grind i have ever done.

You never mastered architect in 2 hours, You got XP in 2 hours, to master architect you needed to get enough money for 600000 ore and 200000 gemstone, i very very much doubt it took you 2 hours t get that. First of all it would cost a few million credits. To get this you would of needed to of sold a holo, which would of required you to master an elite fighting profession, which probably took you a few weeks, or you would of had to earn the millions yourself using other means such as being a crafter in another professiojn, this would of also took you a few weeks. The other way is if you got 9 BER13 Harvesters and 1 BER14 fusion power generator and harvested the resources yourself, but as those would cost about a million credits you would of had to do missions to get them first. and harvesting the resources would of taken at least a week. Also you would of had to spend the time training people to get 620 Apprentice XP. unless you have been really luck it would of taken you a few days to get that.

So NO you didnt master architect in 2 hours, you got the XP in 2 hours.

Wow. A tad bitter?

C'mon folks - there are two types of people who are reading these forums and contributing here. They have radically different agendas, different background, different operating styles. We have created an FAQ and a "guild to holo grinding" that should help the holo grinders get in, get their Master, and get out - all with mimimal impact on the people trying to actually practice Architect as a craft and as a business.

In that context, someone saying "wow - I mastered Architect in 2 hours" doesn't bother me a bit. They aren't speaking to me - they are speaking to the other holo grinders. I'm glad that they got in and out so quickly and moved on.

So I just look at posts like this and smile and nod - it doesn't impact how I operate in the least.

Well, I mastered Architect for the holo, but ended up sticking with it because a) I made a million dollars in the first few days as Master, andb) my second holo said BE.

And when I first started, I came here looking for advice, but all I found were smartasses with bitter attitudes. Is there something inherent in the Architect profession which requires those who choose it to be mean and cantakerous?

I mean, who cares if someone wants to grindthe profession? So it only takes them 2 hours....so what? How does that hurt any of us? And if they flood the market with cheap statues.....too bad......it's a free market, if the price is too low for your liking then use your resources to make something else. Every profession has holo grinders coursing through them, and certainly architects have it better than most. I mean, even with the recent influx to the profession, I am still overwhelmed by orders and banking a mil every couple of days. And the times when people /tell me to get advice on how to start or what to grind, I am more than happy to help them because I remember how confusing it is at first and how happy I was to find someone (in game) that would help me----completely unlike this mean and useless forum. Sorry.

Well, when I look at the FAQs, the guide to holo grinders, and all of the advice that I constantly see here I don't see an unfriendly forum at all. I see lots of people chiming in to help others figure things out.

It would be nice to have some of the critical items stickied. It would be nice to have a little more active moderation to close redundant threads, after linking them to the posts that answered their questions. But I've gotten a lot of value out of reading the posts here.
