Does the quality of the Micro sensor suite subcomponents affect the quality of the micro sensor suite?

The Architect FAQ states that all subcomponents for crafting stations need to be highly experimented, but i read elsewhere that the subcomponents for a MSS can be made from grind materials.

My own initial experiment (and i only did the one) seems to indicate that the quality of the subcomponents didn't affect the MSS final build.I didn't experiment the subcomponents at all and it still seemed to reach the resource limits for the materials used in the final assembly, but since these materials where only above average and not great i wanted to get other peoples opinions.

Thanks

Yes I'm pretty sure the quality of the components used to make the MSS does effect the actual quality of the MSS and the end result of the crafting stations.

I'm pretty sure I tested it once. My memory is slightly vague on the matter though, maybe someone else tested it. Either way I'm pretty sure it has been tested. I'd say 85% sure.

I believe how it worked is that you could use grind quality parts when making the MSS and then the experimentation on the MSS looked fine, coming out to 80-90% but then it is actually just showing the quality of that experiment and the final result will be of lower quality really.

Wouldn't hurt for someone to doublecheck if they've got time and materials to waste.

Yes. I have tested and confirmed that the subcomponents of the MSS are a major factor in the quality of the station. Using a station with 99% CUs, 99% DSCs and92% MSSs with 99% subcomponents in the MSS resulted in a 43+ station. Using 99% CUs, 99% DSCs and 92% MSSs with 10% subcomponents resulted in a mid 20s station.

I too have done some experiments. There's something like a 5 to 10 point difference between grind and quality electronics.

And in case anyone is wondering - the droid storage compartments make a difference too. I used DE parts from two different batches and there was a 2 point difference in the craft stations I made from otherwise identical parts and resources.

Note: In the final station assembly, even if you reach 99% effectiveness you don't necessarily get 99% of the 45 points possible. Therefore making stations is more complicated than most things.

Arg! Forget about the droid compartment part. I can't be sure of it's importance. I forgot I used two different coppers for the final combo.

My apologies.

The quality of the DSCs does matter.

This is definitely one item (stations) where the quality of the components always matters. ALL components.

43.60 my best.
