Hey all,

First post here. I made Master Architect a few weeks ago. Anyway, my question is this: what would you charge for 4-10 power core units from a factory crate? I had a guy request I make these for him today and the price he quoted seemed WAY too low to me, but the price I quoted him was apparently WAY to high. Just trying to get a feel for whether I was trying to rip him off or vice versa.

I know prices are subject to the server economy, etc ... but could you please throw out some ballpark figures for what you would charge someone for this order?

Thanks in advance for any replies ... really appreciate the input!

In answer to your question - the best method of pricing these items is to look at the resources involved, the time taken to create them and the costs of the other inputs (such as factory time/maintenance/power, etc).

For items such as Power Cores (which require Master Artisan components to make), I would tend to charge in the 4 to 5cpu range....and possibly higher.

So for example, at a raw resource requirement with all of the resource inputs costing 3cpu,a single power core would cost the architect 7,896 credits to make. Ifyou then onsold the PC at a resource costof 5cpu, a single crate of 10could retailfor 130k (rounded down). And bear in mind that when other architects buy these things they are after a factory run and not single units.

This still gives you a nice profit and doesnt make it cost prohibitive for other architects (if they think its too high they wont buy it and @ 5cpu, thats a nice price break).

Hope this helps

That post was not off topic.

If architects want to discuss the price of architect items then that is certainly relevant to the architect profession.

Was it off topic? No.

Did it belong here? Yes.

You can keep contradicting me if you'd like but thats not a very fun debate.

Let's see who is right. You or Jeassa, I'm going to have to ask the judges.

I will continue to consider a discussion on pricing of architect items to be on-topic for the architect forum until such time that Jeassa or another official representative of SOE explicitly states otherwise.

Lets all hold our breath now and wait for that to happen...

Sorry Anaken, Shauny asked a perfectly valid question for this forum, a question that has been asked by many others in here in the past, and for some unknown reason it was locked as not being appropriate.

As a long time poster to this (and other boards), I felt that the question was valid for this board, was not answered and was unjustifiably locked. So I went ahead and answered the question....ie; I was only doing what SOE wish for us to do with these boards and that is to be helpful to my fellow players.

To blindy say "you can't post because the moderator blocked it" is complete and utter nonsense and served no purpose other than to add to your posting tally, and paint yourself as someone you probably aren't.

I would of expected someone with your experience to see the post for what it was.

And really, who in their right mind is going to ban someone for being helpful?? There are some right royal absurdities in this game, but banning for being helpful - I don't think so.

I don't give a rats ass about my post count. It wasn't locked because it was innapropriate. And it is in the Community Policies not to repost information that has been locked by a moderator.

Well, irregardless of the fact. It's done now, and answered. It's nice to see atleast someone cared enough to take care of it, because it was what was needed. Someone had a valid question, and it honestly deserved some attention. What the reasoning was for it being locked is only for them to know, but it was kind enough of one of our fellow architects to answer it.
