The resources follow a tree like structure:
Resource
Inorganic
Mineral
Gemstone
(resource types)
Low-Grade Ore
Sedimentary
Siliclastic
Ardanium
(resources)
Tertian
(resources)
Robindun
(resources)
Cortosis
(resources)
Crism
(resources)
Malab
(resources)
Fermionic
(resources)
Carbonate
(resource types)
Unknown
(resources)
Igneous
Extrusive
(resource types)
Intrusive
(resource types)
Unknown
(resources)
Metal
(resource types)
Radioactive
(resource types)
Solid Petrochemical Fuel
(resource types)
Chemical
(resource types)
Gas
(resource types)
Water
(resource types)
Organic
(resource types)
[(resource types) indicates further categories not shown]
So for example at the moment on Eclipse you seem to have a resource: Didotegide which is an Ardanium Siliclastic Ore. Since it's an Ardanium Siliclastic Ore it's also a Siliclastic Ore, a Sedimentary Ore, a Low-Grade Ore, a Mineral and an Inorganic. Those are it's "parent classes".
So a Low-Grade Ore is any resource that is a "child" of the Low-Grade Ore class.
