Hello all and thank you for taking the time to read this.

I am a new player to Star Wars Galaxies, just started 1-17, and have some interest in the Smuggeling Profession.

It seems to be one that is not only profitable in a private sense but also helpful in terms or being in a group. To this end I have racked my brain with ideas as to how to improve or at the very least add to the natural advantages of a Master Smuggler.

The help I need is some idea of how certain professions gel with this rare one.

My idea was to go Master Rifleman and Master Smuggler then distribute the excess points to Medic or Scout.

Any help would begreat and thanks in advance.

Because of the prereqs, smuggler lends itself well to the pistoleer and teras kasi professions for combat. In fact, it is possible to be a Master TKA / Master Smugller / Master Pistoleer.

The smuggler combat tree is sorely lacking in combat mods. There is neither speed nor accuracy in our combat line. For that reason, many smugglers will pick up pistoleer and invest in the marksmanship and stances line (that is accuracy and speed respectively).

If you choose to invest skill points in a combat profession other than pistoleer or teras kasi, you will have less total points to spread around. I say that because of the prereqs. You will need to spend 14 skillpoints more for smuggler and rifleman than you would for smuggler / pistoleer or smuggler / TKA.

The big money makers are selling faction points (you really need to be a colonel), slicing (really helps to be a master), or spices (really helps to have a vendor).

I would say if you like combat, Smuggler / Pistoleer or Smuggler / TKA with some medic, scout, artisan for surveying for your resources.

If you would rather run a business, Smuggler / Merchant.

I'm sure a few other people will jump in with a few ideas so just stick around. And welcome...

So far all good ideas and sorry for the tripple post...bah

At any rate my current idea was to go

Brawler 4-0-0-0

Marksman 4-4-0-1

Medic 2-0-0-0

Scout 4-0-0-0

Master Smuggler

Master Rifleman

This set of course leaves me with one point left but who cares?

The point is that the set gives me what I really want, Rifleman, and something valuable for squads.

As I have a good Doctor and Artisan friend the supplies aren't that big of a concern, but I do see why so many would go artisan.

Well Thanks for the help so far, keep it up.

Hi and thanks for taking the time toread this.

I am a new player, just started 1-17, and have a growing interest in the Rifleman Profession.

It seems this is the closet thing to Sniping and as that has always been my area I suppose I'm stuck.

At any rate I was curious as to what other professions work well with Master Rifleman that would useful in a Squad/Guild enviroment?

Not many things lead into or out of being a Rifleman so I am merely curious as to suggestions.

Right now I am toying with the idea of;

Brawler 4-0-0-0

Marksman 4-4-0-1

Medic 2-0-0-0

Scout 4-0-0-0

Master Rifleman

Master Smuggler

Well thanks for any help in advance.

Depends on Personal preference but let me just tell you what I picked and why.

To Master Rifleman at first, I complimented it with Creature Handler. I love pets. But then I found out that the Mobs would target my pet and not me. WOW. I found gold. but it wasto easy tho. Got bored with it fast. They did fix this kind of. So maybe CH is more fun. Who knows.

But now I'm going Master Doc to compliment my Rifleman. To be able to buff yourself and do high stat healing is nice. This way I only have to worry about my mind.

Rifleman is great and you will love it. Give it time and you will find you nitch.

As a smuggler myself, I just wanted to comment on your choice....

First, I have to say that I love being a smuggler. I've done some dabbling, and smuggler has been by far the most fun profession I've ever played. And though rifleman is also proving to be fun as well, you may want to reconsider the rifleman/smuggler combo. Why?

Well, in doing smuggler, you will find that Pistoleer (or even TK) complements smuggler much better than rifleman. Half of the smuggler skill tree requires pistol XP, and without the pistoleer skills, you will find the grind through smuggler to be very long indeed. Also, the smuggler specials such as Panic Shot, Low Blow, and Last Ditch are BY FAR more effective when you have the pistol speed and accuracy modifiers.

However, rifleman as a combat profession is powerful as well, so once you attain Master Smuggler, then Master Rifleman should still be a decent combo choice.

I've recently made it to Master Architect and need to know how I make a sentinel statue. I received a tell last night from somebody that wanted one, but didn't not know where to find a schematic for them. Any information would be greately apprectiated.

Ain't that just a version of the Gungan Head? If it is, then just start to craft a Gungan Head, and somewhere during the process you get the option to chose a different style of statue - Sun Symbol, Regal Statue, Weird Statue, and so on.
