I was just noticing from reading posts around here (mostly in the furniture colorization poll) that many of you give the impression that you stock many more furniture items than I do. For example, the only item I have ever made a factory run of besides components was Nemoidian Bird Cages, and that was because I had to drop Master Artisan.
So, my question to you: How many items are there on your furniture vendors? (or how many furniture items are on your Architect vendors? hehe)
My answer: 2 of every furniture item I can make (I don't have the resources for the master furniture yet.

I stock about 400 items in my furniture vendor (not including lighting, paintings, statues, etc). I do 4 of everything, and 5-10 of the more popular items (plants, master level furniture, and so on). Then I restock every Sunday.

6 single items, and several crates of 10 for each item. More crates for items that are often used as subcomponents for interior decorating schemes (eg end tables)
I have 2 furniture vendors; one of those has 600 items on average, the other 400.

I try to keep 20-30 of each of the non-hide items plus 8-10 more crates of them for the people that want to buy in bulk.
Since hide is harder to come by, I make smaller runs and keep about 30 of each of these total.
The numbers vary depending on the popularity of the item, too.
I don't bother with the master furniture because it's too much trouble.
Lately I've been spending too much time in space and/or grinding FS xp (that 1:35 ratio and 80k merchant xp capsuck) and keep falling behind on my stock, tho, so I'm out of lots of things that require hide.
I guess that'll be a good project for me to do tomorrow.
