Cheers. It sucks. Ive almost made master, all i need is AP and celebrated by making myself a house abd decided to decorate it all. Shame.

I think its a game design choice based on amatter of performance.
You load the items inside a house on the client side once you enter the house. If they made it so you could see the items on the balcony or porch when you are outside the house then they would have to load those items once the house came within view of you. That would mean once you drove into a player city your client would pause for a few minutes while it loaded the contents of any house within view. THink how long it can take to load the contents for one house and then imagine the hour it would take to load the contents of a whole row of houses.

That's why I think an invisible wall like you have on (non-tatooine) guild halls should work.
It's an open portal but you still can't see the stuff inside until you actually enter the building and let it load up.

Why cant i place items on my terrace of my mediuim Tat house, had a nice set of table, chairs, plants, torches set up for it too.....grrrrr.

Think of the game world in terms of "outdoor space" and "indoor space"
You can see the difference when you call up the overhead map.
Outdoors you see the structures, indoors you see a floorplan.
Unfortunately, balconies and patios are "outdoor" space and you can't drop anything there.
I would love to see them add "invisible walls" around these areas to enclose them and turn them into indoor space.
