Being new to SWG, I was wondering if someone might be able to answer a couple of questions I have regarding factories.

Mainly, if I wanted to produce say Stimpack C's and made a schematic for the actual stimpack. Would I have to have all the sub-combined items, raw materials to make the sub-combined items ot just say the cash and power to run the factory? Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

When you make a schematic and it uses specific resources and subcomponents you will need enough of those specific resources and subcomponents to produce the item in the factory.

To make a schematic for stim-B's you need to have 3 subcomponents. So your stim-B schematic will use those components plus 12 organic and 12 inorganic materials. Usually schematics will require the subcomponent with the exact same serial number. So in order to get 10 stim-B's you'd need 10 liquid suspensions with the same serial number, 10 chem release with same SN# and 10 bio effect with same SN#. You will also need the exact same resources. So if you use tiker chromium aluminum for the inorganic materials then you need 12 tiker chromium aluminum for each stim-B you want to produce. It can't be any other metal or even another kind of chromium aluminum.

It varies a little from item to item if it has to be the exact same sub-component or not. Sometimes a schematic will ask for 3 'similar' items and sometimes it will be 3 'identical' items. If it asks for 'identical' then they have to be the exact same serial number. But if it asks for 'similar' then you can mix and match any part either made by hand or from various factory runs.

Hope that helps.

To answer your question in a more simplistic way, use your factory first to make crates of each sub-component. Then when crafting the main item schematic make sure to use the subcomponents factory crates.

When you load the schematic for the main item, you can open the "list items needed" screen and you will see that the listed sub-components will have the serial number in parenthesis. If no serial number is present, then any version of that component can be used. But this is a rare occurance.
