Thread: Furniture Coloration

I'm in favor of coloration during crafting like in tailoring. Here's why:

1) It would be easier than having to get a coloration kit.

2) Architects are the ones who make the furniture so they should be able to color it

3) It would raise the value of furniture up by a bit

Did you post your vote in the 'furniture colorization poll' stickied at the top of the forum?

I don't see many furniture vendors anyways but can you imagine how difficult it'd be to keep in stock each furniture type in each color possible!? Especially w/ vendor limits, that'd be insanely bad business. You'd have to raise prices way high to ensure decent returns for your invested time too.

I think better idea would be coloration kits so people can color their own or like comp armor just color at will. The former would give us something unique and in demand to mass produce tho. Just being able to color furniture period would give big boom to the business but putting the strain on the architect to color them would stress production too far I'm affraid and not many customers would get into it thus maybe killing the boom before it began.

I'm rambling at this point but basically just think customers coloring would be easier on us while still giving a boom to the furniture biz.

I have been playing an architect for about 5 months now. Recently I have been asked by several of my customers to make various pieces of furniture in different colors. They have informed me of seeing other color furniture than what is standardly made, within various player houses. One example is the rounded yellow/tan couch has been reported to me as being made green and blue. Pieces of the level 3 "elegant white" furniture has been reported to me to be made greyish silver or black.

Could anyone inform me if this is really possible with standard architect schematics? And if so, how is it done?

Nope, not possible im afraid.

Ive had customers say this too, so I asked them to take me to where they saw them. They usually say they cant remember or when we get there we just find standard furniture, usually with the client saying something along the lines of 'they must have changed the colour back again'.

Would be nice if we could colour furniture, but I dont see it happening anytime before hell freezes over. Theres too many combat type people to care for to worry about us crafters. Ill stop now before I end up ranting again.

I have been a 12 point arch for not quit a year yet and there is no such thing as the things being reported to you.

The best I can think of is maybe they are confused by some new loot pieces. And maybe the lighting in some

places has given off that look.

Thanks, I didn't think it was possible. Been researching for a couple weeks now.
