Thread: Possible proof that experimentation affects failures in crafting tools?
Examine: display crafting tool effectiveness in attributes
So, does anyone else think this might mean that experimentation affects the number of critical failures your crafting tool is prone to? I know some people have been saying that an experimented crafting tool fails less than a regular one, but we've never had more than anecdotal proof till now...

I wondered that... I'm more inclined to believe, this was accidentally omited from the tool, and all tools were using the base chance, and as of the patch, it will start working as planned... possibly with all existing tools having the base stat, not the stat that was actually crafted into them.
If, when this goes in, tools actually show the stat they were crafted with, I will have to rethink this.. but then, it won't matter... of course, we won't have much more than more anecdotal evidence that, even SHOWING the effectiveness, there is any actual effect, but.... it will at the very least make us more conscious of our tool qualities.
Whether they REALLY matter or not.. hehe
No matter what the case, I'm glad this is happening. I like a little unknown, without it being TOO unknown... if I have a tool that I at least know is probably good quality, I'll FEEL like I'm doing better than I would be, whether I really am or not.. and there is the side benefit of possibly ACTUALLY HAVING a better tool. ![]()
