Architect Archive

I am somewhat of a dabbler in architecture, so I have little concern with the economics of pricing and other issues that plague full time architects. I do, however, have a large stake in the Galactic Civil War and would like to see Architects take place in that conflict.

The faction bases that determine what side is winning the war are only obtainable via faction points, and this should be so. Were these structures buildable by architects, the side with the most money would win the war, and contrary to the ideas of the movies, that would be the Rebellion as they simply have more players than the Empire. Would it be possible for Architects to build other factional buildings? Could we purchase schematics for defensible walls or turrets with faction points? Could we manufacture trenches or tank traps? Could we set up bunkers with firing ports? Could we (eventually) get the schematics for those super cool Imperial Chairs with the awesome logo on them?

I like to build things, that's why I became an architect. I wish there were a few more things to build, or even something that had a purpose. I built houses for a few friends of mine. They neglected to pay the maintenance and thusly lost their houses. I offered to make new ones and they replied with a curt "No thanks, I wouldn't use it anyway." I must only ask,are we simply the ultimate support class? Making the machinery through which other classes make their living (factories, stores, harvesters). I should hope we have more of a future than that. . .
