Thread: Just another person leaving the game
Part of playing these games, and I've played them all, is attempting to forecast the next nerf. I've been hit by many as well. I have to say, nothing will make me quit playing an online game faster than a nerf. You wake up one morning, and find out your entire online life has been drastically changed at the whim of a developer.
With that being said, I don't feel sorry for you about the AR2 nerf. That one was coming and should have been known to the community for a long time. I had three AR2 pets and within a week of the babies stopping to spawn, I knew it was time to sell . I did only get 500k for each pet, not the million plus others were able to screw out of the community.
<--- made master architech. I havn't quit really, because I want to see how player cities pans out. Plus i just put too much time into my character. But I havn't logged in in a couple weeks. I'm sure any structures I had have run out of matinence and self-destroyed by now. Since running destroy or survey missions is still the fastest, easiest way for me to make money, I see no reason to ever pull out a crafting tool because I don't need the xp anyway.
For me the game is just another bill to pay until my boyfriend gives up looking for the force-sensitive slot with his character.
I was very frustrated back in June/July when the game came out and there were tons of bugs. But now it's October, and I'm even more frustrated and frankly quitting the game.
Everything I've come to enjoy doing has either been nerfed to death or removed or is now broke or plainly never fixed.
I started as an architect and quickly worked my way up the harvester tree finding houses to be useless luckly I was right, you constantly lose things in the house, personal vendors are completely broke, money spent to maintain is on a weekly basis (friday I think) is halved 40 days =14 (40/2 = 20-7 = 13/2 = 6.5-7 = overdue). I have a screenshot to prove it. Thier log showed I ran out in 15 days and my screen shot shows I had 40 days of maint. with the date displayed from the alarm in the options screen. This frustrated me to know end losing 5+ large and countless medium and small harvesters in my vendor = 1Mil+ in revenue that I lost.
So I started as creature handler, sold enough things to get the creatures I liked I purchased some trained others. Then Finally made a Huge purchase of an Arachne warrior. I was there when they nerfed the CH class the first time killing all the high level babies, then almost bought a Klik Queen days before they were nerfed. Once that happend it took me almost a month to search out an existing AR2 creature, and finally I get a Arachne Warrior.Suffice to say I again got frustrated several weeks ago and only came online for several minutes to pay up maintenance on my things. Well today I decided to go hunting with my Warrior you can imagine my hatred/horror when I find my one final joy in the game I can't call any longer and it is nerfed to AR1.
Well as many have said it so well before
SOE / StarWars Galaxies has succeeded in making a buggy game that I put up with totally unenjoyable by taking away things that I enjoyed.
I used to place harvesters and enjoyed when resources shifted. Until they changed it so frequently that I could not make enough on sales to afford to pay maintenance to pull up my harvesters at 4500/harvester/move.
Ya know I can't even say it was fun anymore.
Heh
Later all.
