Just wondered. I know some peeps here are more savey on these matters. I can bang 13's out no probs and I'm not using my best resources.

Anyone?

14 are still not possable. So far using the best matierals only means I start out with a Higher BER then I would normaly and when i do get a failer on the experamenation, I can still pull of BER 11 or 12.

I'm actually very interested in this too. Using my best resources the other day I crafted a hvy gas with rate 13, but here's the catch, it turned rate 13 at either 72% or sometime right before that in experimentation. The materials I was using allow me to get up to 98% experimentation. I should have tried to see what would happen then, but i was using almost 10k in the most uber steel to ever hit my server, and if im going to use that much i wanted to make at least a rate 13 schematic instead of risking a critical failure on my last 4 experimentation points and hitting a rate 12.... So the question really is, has anybody ever hit 72% rate 13 and then tried to max it out around 98%?

If rate 14's are possible, you would have to hit rate 13 long before 77% or higher I know for a fact, the 72% deal has me very interested... but decided later that using all that still is a waste, so now I am not as willing to do it, unless I know nobody else has tried.

I posted this in another thread but then there are only a zillion different threads on harvester BER here . Someone (Reegan) on the Amazon Basin forums figured out the formula for BER on harvesters. I don't have it handy but looks like this:

BER = base rate + floor (( OMU quality + final assembly quality) / 25)

The higher the OMU quality is, the lower your final assembly can be and still hit BER13. You will *never* hit BER14.

I did get a BER 14 fusion gen though.

Yes, BER14 is the highest on fusions - they have a different base rate - they are NOT "heavy harvesters".

BER13 is the highest anyone can currently do on heavy harvesters.

here is my only thing zen, that formula appears to me to say that ever 25% avg. out shows that it increases the BER by 1, if I hit BER at 72% and could hit 98% total which is 26% more does that mean it would be possible?

even if it were possible to reach 14 with this formula I bet you can't do it. They have capped it at 13.

Well, according to that forumula you could hit BER14 *IF AND ONLY IF* your OMU AND your final assembly percentage was 100% each. Since that is a little unlikely, then you'll never hit 14.

At this time, BER 14's aren’t possible with the only expectation to fusion gen. Using the best recorded stats for all material for each part of the construction (walls, Small structure support units, ore mining units, generators and in the final construction) as well as the highest possible extermination, the best possible BER for all heavies is 13.

If you search the forum you will find the tread I started where I posted the stats on all the materials I used in every phase of the construction. The only noticeable difference from using the very best of all parts to using lesser ones, was the starting BER and with the ones using the best the starting BER was 11 and at the end with 98% Experimental efficiency it was only a BER 13 Your more then welcome to go out and find this information on your own.

You’re more then welcome to spend the time to prove me wrong. Just bear in mind, just because something seems possible, doesn’t mean it’s achievable.
