I assume that fusion generators can be planted anywhere? (Well, anywhere the game allows). I'm asking cause there is no survey tool, and the point of fusion power is that it will create energy regardlass of surroundings.

You need to survey for radioactives using the mineral survey tool.

Fusion Generators don't "make" power. They harvest radioactives and only require credits for maintenance.

So does this mean that they don't generate energy/power that you put into harvesters? IE: Energy/power being the stuff that is produced by Wind and Solar Gennys.

What is radioactives used for? Sorry if I'm sounding dumb...

Fusion Ion generators are like any other harvester. You need to survey for a resource and place it where there is a concentration of the perticular resource you are looking for. If you place it blindly you run the risk of planting dead smack in the middle of nothing. You can harvest Radioactives which can then be used to power your other harvesters, mineral, chemical, flora etc... .
