Thread: Equipment Factories
What can you make with equipment factories? If I understand correctly this helps you produce things in game needed for architect. What factory do you have to have to produce product schematics for crafters? I have thought about being an architect (even though I have the general crafting experience to train) but havent decided yet. Thinking about armorsmith also since there seems to be more of a demand. Architects seem a dime a dozen, so I thought about maybe being a crafter and just buying my factories, but still havent decided. Any help in this arena would be greatly appreciated.

This is about the 5th question I have asked on this board, with no reply. Most of you know the answers, but will not respond. Do you consider yourselves to be "above" answering questions to someone that didnt play beta for 8 months, or are you just so competitive you are afraid to let anyone know "the secrets" of the profession? This is the first board I have found where you could ask a question that could be simply answered, and nobody is willing to do it. Quite sad.
Please ignore this question, and go back to debating on how much to charge players for houses.
I was gonna offer to sell my 30k units of Ore on this board if I chose to be an armor crafter, but I think I may take up architect just to sell houses for 2k and put you "knowledgable" people out of business.
Thanks alot.

Thanks for your reply. Truely. I had heard that what you can produce with the factory is no useful until later on in the game. With having to get architect experience to advance, my only option is to build houses and furniture to advance. I was hoping there were other options. I dont really want to do house production for the long haul, since I would like to make factories to produce the wares of me and my friends. Given the fact that I could chose a crafting profession and by factories and homes from architects sounds much more appealing, especially with the changes on the 7/8 patch. Let someone else worry about resources. With all the architects out there, price is always negotiable. I think they should make the money they deserve. It comes down to pay in credits or pay in time. havent decided yet, but thanks for your response.

Archi,
Don't take it personally. The information your asking is a little specific and most people probably don't have it memorized.
I have friend that is a weapon smith that uses eq factories to mass produce some items he needs for his guns. That's all I can remember off the top of my head.
Another answer,
You are correct in that Architects are a dime a dozen right now. Holocron himself said that there are way more than the market can handle.
My personal experience on my server is that the market needs good weaponsmiths. My friend that I mentioned earlier has A LOT of business. A couple of days ago there were people coming to his house for 2 hours after he logged off asking when he would be back on. One of our other friends is training up now just to help him with his business.
That being said is is VERY good at what he does. He experiments, find the best materials for the weapons and can make them better than most. That probably a big reason behind his success.
I also think there IS a good market for armoursmiths right now also.
But, if you hate all of the repetitive clicking, factories can produce things in mass quantities for you (up to 100 at a time), albeit very very slowly.
Actually you can set your schematic to make more than 100 items, you just have to change the number. And it does go very very slow.
cant recal the exact numbers on power and maint.. my comp is dead and havn't been able to play for 4 days.. enough with that though.
schematics will reproduce what they were created from. lets say the "power handler" you make it like you would normally (make sure you are at a crafting station).Experiment on it till you are happy with it. then click create manufacturing schematic. you can leave it at 100 uses or manually change the number to 1000 (if you want). There is no per day limit.. was one sorta .(the factory 100 item till re-deed bug). when you have the factory place it and add power and maintinence. then click the schematic button.. add your new power handler schematic, then click on the input hopper button in the radial menu. add enough of the SAME resources used in making your powerhander, to make say 100/ 1000 or however powerhandlers you need. then click "start manufacturing". your factory will tell you if its stopped for some reason.
Hey there, I just went to through another load of items into my factory and I couldn't access the schematic slot. I got my friend to put it down for me and he couldn't access it either....strange I thought.
I made another equipment factory for myself and got the exact same results...are these bugged right now, has anyone else had any problems at all? This is really **edit**ty, I was just getting ready to do a run of adv probot frams and now I just gotta sit and wait...any ideas or suggestions would be apreciated.
I just bought my equipment factory and I was told i get 5% of what the normal experience is with them. I was just wondering if that is true? Also is there a good formula for figuring out a fair price. On gorath they seem to overcharge for pretty much everything. Here is a good example 50 units of hide is 3000. I can see if it was a rare piece but that is the average price for hide on the whole server.
Thanks
