Did i read this somewhere or am i imagining it? With the demise of any method of posting to a larger forum.. help? This was supposed to affect player cities.. it might impact me as im military and am away from time to time. Sometimes longer than 3 weeks, id rather not lose all my houses and harvs thank you very much.

Am i wrong or is this an actual future plan?

If you have maintenance money in the item then it will last as long as you have paid for.

I think what you might be thinking of is when you cancel your subscription for the game. They keep your stuff around for a bit rather than deleting your character just in the hopes that you'll come back in a month or two.

Actually I think what your talking about is in the new patch if you are part of a Player City and you do not log for 3 weeks you are removed from the city...I do not know if this means your house is gone or what...they really didnt specify.

Citizens will now be removed from a city if they haven't been online for about 3 weeks.

Howdy all.... Actually, word has it they might consider making it 6 weeks...also you do not lose anything....The only thing that you lose is your citizenship in the player city which could cause a city to lose a level...For instance, say you are in a Level4 city and you have a shuttleport...If you go below 55 then say bye-bye to your shuttle......its total BS that people are forced to log on.

It seems to me this a way of making cross server lot trades to much of a hassle. We have have cities that are populated with people who are not really playing that server.

What would happen to your house if the account holder cancelled but you maintained the house?

If you have any advance notice you won't be around for a while, pull your harvs up. In a week or so they will all have stopped producing anyway due to resource shifting. You'll be saving yourself maintenance fees on harvs that aren't producing.

Um... no. You see, mayors don't have the ability to remove someone from a city. So, in the case of some cities, specifically the one I'm in which is currently a Metropolis, Players take breaks all the time. Unless those players log in often enough to maintaintheir citizenship, the city itself could end up dropping one, or even multiple ranks (depending on where in the city those players built their houses), and the mayor would be absolutely powerless to re-raise the city rank, because there would be 0 physical space in which new players could build their houses. No amount of recruiting, or other action on the part of the mayor, is going to make a player's house disappear to make room for another to be built on that land.

So no, it doesn't have anything to do with how lazy the politicians are (though, honestly... if they weren't lazy, they wouldn't REALLY be politicians, would they?) It has everything to do with the fact that several players going on an extended break could completely cripple a city, and the mayor and players of that citywould be powerless to stop it.

If the account holder cancels.. the buildings associated with that account will normally poof. If the character is deleted from the server.. bye bye houses etc.

Now, cancelled accounts *may* stick around for a bit.. but with no guarantee that your character will stay on the server.. be prepared to say goodbye to everything.
