The Master Armoire Looked like the second Armoire, after they fixed the schematic-not-loading

Factories would constantly eat your parts and not make anything.

Factories broke and had to be redeeded constantly to get a run done.

Permissions never worked


Resource Containers filled up to 250 units

Containers Nested for Unlimited Storage


Heh, one player had so many nested.. they admitted he crashed the server, because the DB wouldn't load. They had to delete him He also had well over 500 Harvesters because the lot limit didn't stop you at 100 even tho that's all you got. The harvs didn't use power and decayed to 0 but wouldn't drop so he had alot of boxes filled to 250


He's pretty much the reason they went to 100k a box, dropped lots to 10, and made all the structures different lot sizes... and they made the structure 2 lots in case an architect wanted to make 10 factories churning out huge lots of deeds, that would equate to 150 unit storage houses littering the planets

The rate at which we can make houses only changes WHEN there will be 150 unit storage houses littering the galaxy, not IF. Thus I disagree with your reasoning.

Heh, I barely got into architect in beta. My main memory is finally getting all the material gathered necessary to make a small house and then crit failing on the final combine

Oh, I remember the factories-eating-parts bug. First time I tried to make Power Core Units in crates for my first PA Hall. I got one less PCU than I needed, and I ran out of the specific type of Radioactive Gas, so I had to wait another day to get more resources. The trick was to put MORE Generator Turbines than you needed to push out the last PCU. Boy, was I embarrassed to have to tell the customer about that. Fortunately, I was able to make the PA Hall the next day, and they eventually hired me as their Head Architect, so I guess they forgave me!


And you forgot a few of the other wonderful bugs/restrictions, such as deeds taking 8-24 hours to build. And sometimes the deeds would never build, and you'd be stuck with a structure terminal/force field item that would just sit there forever--and it would still take up lots! And more than once, I had customers redeed houses and the deeds would never appear in their inventory.


I guess because of these experiences, and the knowledge of how some professions are REALLY broken, that I'm pretty happy with the overall Architect situation.

I remember we couldn't build heavy flora harvesters at all in beta, and not even until well into release did that little item get fixed.

Well if you want some fond memories of structures not building, you can visit a spot south west of Theed on Bloodfin. There has been this structure builder in the same spot since week 3 of the game.

dont forget 70 lots for every player plus the throw away harvesters lol



was a big joke really, but these days i cant just get it why only factory using 2 lots is architect


all factories should just use 1 lot

I vividly remember experimentation not mattering on houses and factories.



Oh wait, its still like that!


I also remember the first PA hall that me and my buddy made. We were selling it for 200k and we got it done ahead of schedule so the customer gave us a 100k tip. That pretty much sealed it for me and I've been a master architect ever since

I remember that incident. It was such a mess. The server was getting slower and slower, and then there were the 1/2 hour rollbacks. ahhhh....beta......
