I know, take it to the trade forums and all, but I figured who better to ask than an Architect.
I am auctioning a +4 tape, just curious as to your input on past pricing. this is just for the sake on knowing next time I find one, not as a plug for the auction (though I wouldnt mind it as one
)

Well if you have an auction then the auction will tell you what they are worth, but for starting prices I'd say:
structure experiment +4 start at 100k
structure assembly +4 start at 10k
structure complexity +4 start at 10k

If its an experiment tape it will go for well over a mill...start at 500k

Things are wacky about those. Just this weekend there was an auction that had a +9 structure experimentation tape and a bunch of other good tapes. The +9 structure exp. tape went for 1.1 million. Yet, I would've thought that should go for 2-4 million. Ah, they only increase hopper size really.

I think this one is really very subject to supply and demand. There may be a very limited number of architects who would consider paying large sums for such tapes and when those archi's have the tapes they need then the demand plummets. So prices might start out pretty high and then drop off quickly after a few good tapes are sold.
Right now there is a +7 experiment tape for auction on my server. There are only 3-4 of us who have bid. Once 2-3 of us have the tapes we want then prices will drop like a rock.
