Hello everyone!
I'm a new architect with a few questions about getting Max BER harvesters. I can get a BER 12 Heavy Mineral no sweat, but even with all resources +900 in HR/SR/UT and a Mining Unit of 6 RatingI can't seem to get that last box available that would let me make it a BER 13. I have the experimentation points, but the ability for me to get it to 10 full experimented boxes (90%+) is just not there. I haven't a clue how to get that box available. I'm using my very best resources. Isn't that what determines it? I've read the guides and a few of the posts on here, but haven't seen this exact question asked, so maybe if someone could correct me on how i think experimenting works or whatever I'm doing wrong, let me know.
Thanks for your help!

Max out your OMU even if it says 6 keep going- get it to 93%+ I hit 94-96%. That would probably be your only mistake. Since you are using 900+ final assembly materials that is the only thing that might be wrong.
Craft an OMU full exp to 93%+ and try that.

Thanks Kronos, I thought that might be tripping me up. I can't rememebr what the % was on my OMU. It was high, but I don't know if I could get it over 90. Might have had the same issue. I'll make another schematic tonight and give it another shot. Thanks!

Azrielen, if you add together the experiment % of the mining part and the final combine, that is what will determine if you can hit maximum BER or not. The total of the two has to be over 176% (I think thats the #). So for example if you got 85% on your ore mining unit then you'd need 91% on your final combine. Since the mining part uses less material, its best to use your best steel on themining part to max out its experiment % as high as possible, like 95% and that gives you more room and would allow you to use lower quality materials on the final combine.
