Fusion reactors, wind power, etc. I was just wondering, does the resource quality of the energy affect crafting stations in any way? And what are the purposes of fusion/radioactive/wind energy other than to power harvesters? And does anyone know the most efficient ways to set up harvester fields of these

thanks for your time

I'm not sure what you mean by "affect crafting stations". Crafting stations don't use energy for anything. Are you thinking of Factories?

THe PE rating on the energy does impact the actual amount of energy you get. If PE < 500 then its a 1 energy : 1 unit ratio. But if PE >= 500 then its energy = units * PE / 500. So 1000 PE = 2 energy, 750 PE = 1.5 energy and 500 PE = 1 energy.

FUsion is used as a resource in some crafted items. I'm not sure what all uses it but it does count as a basic mineral.

I think wind and solar energy is only used as power.

Fusion generators are generally the most efficient. THey produce more energy and fusion energy is usually much higher density than wind or solar. Plus the PE rating is often much higher. Fusions cost more to buy since they take 100X the materials to build that a windmill does.
