Sorry if these are common, or stupid... here goes:
1) stackable Apartment-like homes. (Corellia only?)
- Basically, you could build just one, and it would sit on the ground with a small roof. You could tweak it witha new option to "Allow stacking." with a list of people who could stack on top of yours. If your friend bought one, and he was added to your list, he could place his home on top of yours. Now you essentially have a 2 story home type thing. (the roof, obviously, is moved to the top.) As a unit is stacked, an elevator terminal is automatically added, perhaps to the outside to allow anyone to go up/down, still allowing for privacy for each individual home.

Of course you'd have to cap the amount of homes that you could stack... but I think it would be nice to have skyscrapers in player cities, fully functional. I realize that latency might be an issue with mass stacking... there'd need to be some way to limit this.
Lot wise, I think these would only take up one lot per, unless you decided to make additional, larger stackable homes that could take up 2 lots or so.
2) A custom home building type interface.
- Here, an Architect would become more of an architect. He could design a base floorplan, with a simple, drag & drop type interface. He could have walls, doors, stairs, multiple levels, balconies, etc. at his disposal, hardcapped of course to prevent 12 acre homes. I think that this would be nice, and give homes not so much of a "I got this out of a magazine." look.
I figure it'd be nice if there was a "lot monitor" included in this interface, and as the architect dropped in more walls, flooring, stairs, etc. the lot count would go up, stopping of course at 10. I'm not sure how exactly you would set this up, again just trying to throw this out there.
In all honesty, I believe these changes could help to give new life to the cities and the architect profession (especially change 2).
I myself am not an architect, so I apologize if I'm shortsighted on this type of thing... Additionally I took the SAT this morning... and I"m kinda fried... so please pardon poor formatting, poor spelling, poor grammar... yea you get the picture. Thanks for reading my random lunacy... and stuff.

Good ideas. Check the "On Going New Structure Idea Thread" stickied at top, I think at least the apartment idea is probably in there. If not then you ought to add the ideas there.

These ideas have been bugging me for ages about teh FS system and getting jedi adn I wanted to share it with the community.
1. Why is FS grinding so boring and long? It would be Ok without the long trip to the village...here is an idea of how I believe it should be: -
Each FS Box should require 200k of FS Xp, however each box should be unlocked via a quest. The higher the box is the harder the quest. So the 4th box in a tree should require a very experienced and powerful person to complete it and possible even require this person to ask a few friends to help.
Yet, on the last tree you require to get unlock jedi (the 6th fs tree) you should have to do 4 incredibly difficult quests that require a minimum of 15 people in a group.
So basically it should be as follows....
You must complete 6 trees to begin padawan trials.
Each tree has 4 Boxes as it is now.
You should have to do a quest to recieve the novice for each profession, this quest will be fairly easy.
The first box in a tree should be a little harder than the novice box quest, and to perform the quest you must first aquire 200k of FS XP.
The second box should be the same amount of Xp required but should have a harder quest.
The third box should have 200k FS Xp aswell but a harder quest aswell.
The 4th box should have 250k FS XP and should have a very hard quest that only a skilled player can complete.
This should be the same until it gets to the 6th tree (final tree required to unlock jedi padawan trials) here you should have to havea minimum of 15 people in a group for each quest, and each box should require the same amount of XP as the 1st - 5th trees.
This way those who are good grinders will not get jedi, only those who are skilled enough and wise enough to complete the quests.
Just my two cents...wondering what everyone thinks of it and if anyone has any other ideas that they could add.
P.S. The quests SHOULD NOT be quests like "go kill 20 falumpasets" because that is perfect for the initiate/padawan/knight trials ONLY!

Also if they are gonna keep the same system tehn make the trip to the village MUCH shorter, I regularly have to go AFK and have something to eat and drink because I am so bored...
perhaps place a starport/shuttleport in the village or move the village closer to an outpost?
