Ok, so I've never made a painting before. Is it advisable to make a schematic then mass produce them in a factory? Is that possible ? If so do they get made into crates of paintings or do they come out in singles like ore mining units ? Ty.

Yup, do factory runs. Otherwise you only get two paintings. I think the crate size is 20 or 25... Can't remember.
Edit:
If I had to wager on the matter I would not bet against Pawlin.

True.
You can set the schematic to make 1000 items but I recommend only putting in enough resources to make a few crates then make more if/when you need them.
I made that mistake with the very first painting I did (once I figured out that you could do it and didn't have to sell two paintings at 24,000cr each) and now I've still got Golden Petals 3 up to my ears!

/agree Elyssa.
I've done the same thing where I ran off too many crates. My solution to that is to put the crates up for sale on my vendor at a bit of a discount. That way I don't ahve to worry about storage and if someone wants to buy a full crate then I'm happy to make the sale.

Yeah, but we're talking a LOT of crates here and I didn't want to force my customers to look through 6 pages of crates of paintings that they weren't interested in.
However, I do always stock a few crates tho. More to store them there then crack them open when I run low on single paintings.
I do that with furniture as well.
It has really helped solve some of my storage problems.
On the other hand, whenever I need to make a decorative partition or something, Golden Petals 3 gets the call!
