Sorry to be a bore but can anyone help with a few questions?

What is the highest BER you can get for flora and chemical harvesters?

What sort of economies of scale do the best harvesters offer for power and maint costs over smaller harvesters?

Do many people operate more than one factory at a time to grind components?

Those 2 questions aren't directly addressed in the FAQ.

Yes some people do use more than one factory at a time. My Armorsmith neighbor probably has 3-4 running.

There is data in the FAQ on maintenance costs for each size of harvester, what the max BER is and how much you can mine with them. So you can piece together an anser about the scaling of them. But to put it simply the best heavy harvester gives you 30% more resources over the best medium harvester and all heavies cost 50% more to operate than mediums. So if you're just looking for pure efficiency than mediums work better but if you want to maximize output or mining revenue/profit than heavies are best.
